Fri, 10/28 @ UTA Jazz
Sun, 10/30 @ OKC Thunder
Tues, 11/1 @ IND Pacers
Weds, 11/2 @ ATL Hawks

None of the teams we face will be playing us on a back-to-back situation, so expect them all to be well rested and prepared. All 4 teams are widely expected to make the playoffs this season.

I'll hope for 2-2, but it'll be tough:

L @ UTA - its their home opener, and their fans will want some recourse for Mamba Day
W @ OKC - they had issues with the Sixers in game 1, and if we can survive Harden we can weather Westbrook
W @ IND - home court advantage slightly diminished for them since they're coming back from a 2 game trip and instantly back on the road afterwards, and as impressive as Myles Turner was in game 1 he'll have up and down games this season
L @ ATL - 2nd game of b2b for Lakers. Will be interesting to see how much Laker support we'll have in the stands post-Kobe at Staples Center East

2-2.

I think we can beat Utah/OKC.

Indy/ATL may be tough, though Indy's backcourt defense of Teague/Ellis can be attacked (PG13 not so much). Turner will be a major problem.

ATL, well, it's Dwight. F Dwight.

2-2. If we go 3-1, I'm making a playoff thread.

I say 1-3. But if we were to beat Utah on the first game we could go on a nice run.

The realist in me says 1 - 3. I'm hoping for 2 - 2.

I think we can win around 40% of our games, which is essentially going 2-3 every 5 games. That translates to around 32-33 wins. That's a bit on the ceiling side for me.

I'm hoping for 2-2, but expecting 1-3. It will be a tough test so early in the season.

To add, I really want a W against Atlanta and OKC.

I think Utah is a letdown game. Don't think we will play with as much frenetic energy in our first game on the road. With such a young team I think we are going to be pretty atrocious away from home.

I like OKC as our best shot to steal a W - game plan is to shut down the supporting cast and let westbrook go off with Nick chasing him, and then attack Kanter in PnR.

Same.

Beating jackasses MDA and Harden was a good first stop on the Lakes Revenge Tour 2016-17.

Want to beat Russ and quiet the OKC crowd and would love to see them beat Dwight Coward in front of an arena half-full of Lakers fans in ATL.

Utah is without Hayward and possibly Favors, they'll still have a solid defensive backcourt of Hood and Hill along with Gobert manning the middle. It'll be a matter if our offense can produce. Given that Hood is a bigger guard, I wouldn't be surprised if Young starts again. Johnson will be a good matchup for Deng.

OKC will be a grind it out game like against Houston; all depends on how much Westbrook goes off. I honestly don't see Indiana being that good; still a playoff team, but I felt like they got worse this offseason. As for Atlanta, Howard and Millsap will probably be a tougher matchup for our frontcourt. I'm going with a 2-2 record with wins against Utah and Indiana.

My goodness, OKC has the potential to be a tank team if WB misses any significant time on the court. No way he can sustain that style of play.

Yeah, that team did not look good against Philly last night, definitely would've lost if Westbrook didn't hit those two clutch jumpers from the right wing. Adams may have the better night, but Mozgov will be able to hold his own/bang with him. We should treat Roberson like Tony Allen and have his defender roam around on the help, until he can prove he can make his own shots.

Utah will be tough game to win, but I think if we can get the win, it could propel us to a 4-0 or 3-1 trip.

Their floor spacing is atrocious. It's going to be a long year for them.

1-3. First road trip, with that back-to-back at the end. I give them Utah as I think we have an edge in overall team speed and quickness, but this will be the first big test.

Not about the wins - it's about the learning.

But we can do 2-2 or 3-1 if everything goes our way.

1-3 is the most realistic prediction..
but it could easily be 0-4
2-2 would be considerably tougher, but it's still in the ballpark
