Sure would have been nice to get that win, but we remain competitive against tough competition. Teams showed up and won last year. We are at least going to make you earn it this season. The fact that we won a game and have come close in 2 others and have only played teams much better than us so far this season us very encouraging. We are seeing the kind of movement and quality of looks we just didn't have last year.

Russell on George was a bad coaching issue.

Maybe Luke wanted Russell to have that experience.

I have seen a lot of good things from this team. They have fought hard each game.
Let's face it we are not the most talented team and we have no superstars to fall back on but this team fights through adversity to the bitter end.

Once team chemistry starts to gel they will learn how to finish games strong.

We are so close, brehs. We seem to be right there all the time and then (bleep) falls apart. I'm hoping this experience in close games makes us stronger as the year goes on.

BTW, what in god's name has happened to Jeff Teague? He is awful. He looks like a dude who came back from a double achilles and ACL surgery in both legs.

He was roasting JC before, Luke had to switch something without compromising our offense. Couldn't swing Lou. Randle maybe, but we probably would've lost the board with the guards and Larry underneath. He gambled and and lost. Good lesson for our guards trying to defend clutch possessions. No big deal.

He did it with Randle on Harden and he got us the stops.

I don't know about Russell. Thought he'd be our best player this year. He's been brutal.

He had a good game today. It's like people can't look beyond missed shots. His floor game in the 4th was quite good. His defense in the 4th was good as well (nothing he can do on an island against George). The +/- bears it out: +3, tied with Lou and Randle for team honors.

This sort of game should be encouraging. 3-10 for 11 points (0-4 3 pointers) is ugly, but we all know he can shoot. That much he'll figure out.

I think it's more positive to look at the looks they're getting now. There aren't as many forced shots as say the past few years. Things are flowing. The shots are more or less after the ball moves for decent to good looks. At some point those will start going in...

The key for us is making sure we don't lose confidence. This is a tough 4 game road stretch for any team, especially one as young as ours. Doesn't help matters that our early schedule is the toughest in the league (I think).

I'm a huge Luke guy but I can't see any kind of valuable experience to be gained from having a PG guard a SF in the clutch. Under no circumstance under a competitive game scenario should that be seen again.

That was on pick and roll switches. This game they were iso-ing PG13.

Foul prone, sloppy, unfocused...then great heart & energy, but ultimately beaten by a star down the stretch. Many games will be like this.

Like I mentioned in another post. I think they'll get a chance to settle down after they get home.

If they can steal a game tomorrow chalk it up as a moral victory for the trip. If they keep it close but can't pull out a W then I'd have it in the same category. If they get blown out, we can worry... abit.

Not the last few plays of the game they weren't. They were iso's.

We lost this game because they have paul george and we got young guys doing sumb stuff out there but this was a great learning experience. We totally couldve won this game, the pacers are not really a very good team, they have paul george and not much else. On the positive side, we have been in and had a chance to win all 3 of these last games on the road thats impressive. This team has played really unselfish and competed hard. This team is just young but their showing some good signs.

Yes, we don't have the proven perennial all stars but they are not the only one who got talent. We are young, but we are showing we are capable and learning quickly. It all was decided from Luke coaching point if keeping the hot hand crew or go sub Deng/Young for Lou/Clarkson. Just saying...
