Well, Aeneas Hunter is usually the one that starts this and he can take over at any time . I had to start this thread after running into this gem by a regular entrant into these hallowed halls.

https://streamable.com/gdtj

I give this one a solid B. Zero contact but CP3 didn't even flail his arms or legs. Simply hurled his body into the ground as if body slammed by Randy Savage and the refs bought it. Hook, line and sink'er.

Wow that's a terrible call. I guess when you're such a transcendent flopper, you don't even have to flop anymore to get calls

If there'a HoF collection of flopping clips, I expect CP3 to be in over half of them.

Can't believe that act is still playing out.

Wow. In light of these comments, I'll bring it back if the NBA starts posting videos again. I lost my motivation because the Lakers were so bad last year. The 5-4 start is bringing a lot of us out of our depression.

I found this interesting article for a few months back:

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/the-results-are-in--the-nba-has-managed-to-cut-down-on-flopping-214504825.html

My first reaction was skepticism. You still see some flopping and exaggerated contact, for sure. But you know, I think things really have gotten better. You can't stop a true maestro like CP3, but you don't see every nobody bench warmer hurling himself at the floor.

Personally, I don't think anyone flops more than Steph Curry and James Harden these days. They seem to be the new CP3 to me.

I wonder which new SF/PF would challenge LeBron for his title. Grown man built like a tank flopping like a fish after minimal contact.

Blake Griffin does that a lot.

Andre Iguodala: F

This is the very definition of lame. The Invisible Man hits him! He doesn't get the call. He doesn't get a reaction from the guy defending him. He doesn't even get a reaction from his home crowd. Wow, Andre. It looks like the only people who even noticed your flop were in the league office.

Tony Allen: D

This is better than Andre, but that's a low bar. Note the key differences. The official at least looks at him (and probably rolls his eyes). The defender reacts a little bit. The crowd boos. That's the difference between a D and an F. This was still pretty poor, Tony. It looks like you were trying to say a quick prayer to Saint Vlade, patron saint of floppers, while dribbling up the court.

Okay, I wasn't doing reviews last year. Still, this classic Celtic flop should not be overlooked. I can only give this a B- because he didn't get the call. However, he got a $5000 fine for this, and he earned every last penny of it. This was a classic example of playoff basketball from the Celtics.

Fixed. The way that the NBA provides the video links is a mess. It turns out that the Allen flop was from October 2015. It was on the same video page as the Iguodala flop. Go figure. This is clearly a conspiracy against the Hall of Shame.

I'll suggest B+ because of the sound effects. I could feel his pain.

Do you count guys who did more feigning than outright flopping? EG: Malone, specifically (all time leader in FTAs). Pierce, Maggette, Iverson, etc. You go up with him, Karl gets a little bit of contact and torques some part of his body with an intent on getting a foul called while still in the air, often while portraying a whiplash effect and/or a physically pained expression (PP the king at this). Those guys are often worse, Vlade did both that and more traditional flopping. I'll give at least some credit to those who more or less had to put their backs onto the floor for their flops to pay off. I still remember an example of Iverson doing this against us in 2007/08 with the Nuggets where he went up presumably for a shot on the baseline and instead of shooting once he got a slight bump, he turned his head at the ref standing behind him while still in the air to yell AYY!

Naw, the Hall of Shame has standards. You gotta get the call. No grade-flation. No participation awards. If a bear flops in the middle of the woods, and no one is there to blow the whistle, then we've got a seriously weird bear on our hands.

Normally, the max for a failed flop is a B-. However, the Hall of Shame has recognized one exception. As it happens, it was also Marcus Smart. This flop was so brilliant that it freaked out Carmelo Anthony and caused him to launch a brick.

It's good to know that there are those in the younger generation who understand the art of the flop. Marcus Smart is putting the D in "flopped."

He didn't get the call. It looked stupid. Basically, no one reacted to it. Call that the "Dwyane decides to take a nap" flop. I know that Dwyane is one of the masters, but he's showing his age. It's not quite as bad as Iggy's flop, but I gotta give that one a D.

Sometimes, you don't even recognize the greatness you are looking at.

He was channeling his inner Bosh, throwback to 2011.

Homage to Bosh.

You gotta soak these moments in. D-Wade showing us he still has 2006 form, flash is back on that play.
