Unselfish basketball, its so beautiful to watch. This is how the game is meant to be played, its been rough watching the byron years, but it helped us get to where we are now. |

Anyway congratulations to the front office it looks like we finally have a team. |
So nice to have a break from the "we need Phil!" "Fire Jim Buss" nonsense that has plagued the team for the last few years. |

bonkers wrote: | Gotta agree that the Suns need to be careful with Booker's minutes. He played 45 minutes tonight, took 29 shots and had a minor injury a few weeks ago I think. |
I was thinking during the game that he seemed to be playing alot, but that's crazy. He's a good player, but 45 min in a losing effort when you are already 2-4 is terrible...dude is gonna get hurt if they keep that up.
So game was kind of a stinker, DLO was horrible except for that 3 he hit then the steal and the assist for the 4 point play. Nance hurt, again, happens when you play full speed all the time...nothing unexpected from him. Robinson was horrible, his horrible play allowed the suns back into it.
Positives
Randle...man is he getting good, our best player right now.
Nick....so swaggy
Lou...nice passing
Clarkson...steady
BI...very distruptive on D, offense is getting a bit better
This win is on the coaching staff. Great use of timeouts, used Ingram very well, we looked pretty flat the entire 3rd quarter and most of the 4th but we pulled it out. These are the kind of games that we lost under Byron. Dude would just robo sub people in and out based on the clock instead of how they were playing. If BScott was still the coach I guarantee that our lineup down the stretch would have been
Calderon
Williams
Deng
Randle
Mosgov
And we would have lost. Good job Walton! |

Luckily Nowitzki is out. Robinson and Black do not have great hands so you can see why they're not starters. But at least Black works hard on both ends and sets good picks. |
TRob did fine....basically first real minutes he got this season...he was 0-1 with a rebound and block in 5 minutes....he didn't do much, but not a problem |

Nice win, especially after the big win on Friday.
At times, a tad too much one on five in what felt like a playground game at times. But still, they stuck together, stuck with what Luke wanted, and got the win.
To the peeps who during the summer laughed at the idea of a Lakers small ball lineup with Randle at center - how do you like dem apples?
Overall, this team continues to be fun to watch. Keep it up! |

interesting fact....so far this year, we have never had the highest scorer in a game....just 5-6 guys in double figures each night |

I agree with your last point, Deng should of been the one closing out the game at the 4 but I guess this gives Ingram some late game experience |
This is why Luke is doing great. A perfect example of prioritizing development over win now. Its easy to say but once you start winning a few games/getting momentum and praise, most coaches start chasing wins by doing things like playing your best player 45 minutes on the road ala Booker tonight. |

Which is great, it means were playing unselfish and keeps the defense off guard they cant lock in on one guy it could be anyone who is the mvp for the night. |

In general I'd agree, but today, i just didn't see him (or anyone else for that matter), play D on Booker _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!

Booker had the hot hand! Though, I don't think playing Booker 45 is "the opposite" of playing Ingram over Deng! I just thought Ingram seemed tentative and "lost" in that 4th. BTW, I loved his block and run down for a layup, but that was what, 3rd quarter? _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!

I love that Luke is kinda using Randle in that Draymond role as a undersized Center. He is really holding his own. I can only imagine if his jumper ever becomes consistent. |

The bench carried the team again. We're never out of a game when Clarkson and Lou can come in and score a combined 30+ points. When we have the lead it's difficult for teams to comeback with those two scoring. |

Didn't get to catch the game...was busy watching my raiders win the most important game in 15 years. But hell yeah to come back to both teams winning _________________ “Power resides only where men believe it resides...A shadow on the wall, yet shadows can kill. I'm so happy we won. I woulda been pissed if we blew that lead.
I'm kind of shocked at Nick Young's play this season. Very impressive. |
