Rolled his ankle. He got taped up and was back out ready to play. They sat him though. We were up by a lot. |

I'm not going to discuss if Dlo is a PG anymore, but when you put a couple of more traditional PG to play with him he scores a bunch of points in a few seconds.
He may be a modern PG, but he is a perfect example of a traditional SG. GT is going to break down this game, but Russell was looking to score for about a couple of minutes early in the 3rd and finishing the game and he had maybe 15 points just in those short outbursts. |
So you're not going to discuss if DLO is a point guard but then you're going to discuss if DLO is a point guard... |

You just did. In the words of Mitch Kupchak, "Ball-handling guard." Yes, he can score if he plays off ball, so can Jordan, so can Sweet Lou. So why is D'Angelo tasked with the PG duty? The Lakers are high on him and trust him to play multiple roles. The other guys have no pressure. Come in and shoot. But we don't have John Stockton or Steve Nash that would afford the Lakers move D'angelo to off guard. We have Calderon and Huertas, and I would like to continue seeing them buried in the bench. D'Angelo is our point guard, and he'll figure it out. |

What does scoring a bunch of points have to do with being a point guard?
M8, it's 2016. Don't use positions conceived in the 70s. The PG as first conceived doesn't exist anymore. Basketball has changed and players and their skillsets have been diversified. _________________ RIP Kobe |

Solid W for the Lakers, now 3-3 on the road. Best start away from Staples since 2010. |

Minnesota seems to be tanking the season, Lakers need to come out and try to put them away early. |

That games wasn't even that fun to watch, I just feel kind of bad for Davis. That team has really nothing aside from him and you can see how hard he is playing.
Hopefully Hield turns into something, it's a shame to have such a good player stuck in such a bad situation/organization. |

The Thibs effect.
Doesn't care about developing.
Doesn't care about maximizing player talent
Calls out players for being soft to the media
runs them harder if they don't play defense
overplays them in meaningless games, taking their legs by playoff time
Is stubborn as all hell especially when it comes to his rotations
Benefits when carried by a superstar in a weak conference
Sound familiar? |
