NOBODY will take Deng's four year contract. That was a one way ticket by Lakers front office, a gamble |
You are underestimating the Kings FO. |

Hope they learned ANOTHER valuable lesson tonight about coming out like that just cause another team has a depleted roster.
You could tell the way they played that they had the mentality that eventually they were just gonna take over this game or eventually the T'wolves would start missing or EVENTUALLY they'd just get tired.
That's what happens when you play like you assume.
We should have come out with the intention of FORCING those things to happen instead of just waiting on them to happen, cause when our runs cut it close but came up just short, they were able to push it back via foul shots or otherwise and it gave them a cushion.
If we came OUT with that intensity and that urgency to start we likely are blowing them out by the 4th quarter.
But they didn't, they came out soft, didn't attack close outs, didn't try to stop the ball on fast breaks, didn't call out rotations, didn't seem to worry about the game ever getting away from them till it did, 3 straight times.
Hopefully Luke Hammers home this in to them some more. Cause they never should have come out like this.
Their highest minutes player played 27 minutes last night, while Wiggins played almost 40. Yet they allowed Wiggins to go off for a career high on him, and a guy nobody has ever heard of get a career high because they refused to close out on him or make him put the ball on the ground.
Coming out with this kind of effort gets us beat, and we needed to get another reality check.
This team despite their record still has a long way to go, and nights like this aka inconsistencies are the reasons.
These inconsistencies need to be nipped in the bud.
I'm happy we actually went 2-1 on the road trip, but it should have been 3-0 and the table was set for us to do such, but we came out like we'd already won and lost by near 30 because of it.
Better be a wake up call. |

There is a good chance Gay is traded before he becomes a FA, there is nothing wrong with trying. |

Thibs wears out his players, Wiggins will be hurt before the all start break...mark my words. |
Yeah, that team is playing it's two best players 40 minutes a night at 3-6. Between that and yelling like a drill sargeant during the game is going to get old. Kat and Wiggins are going to lose years off of their career and have nothing left for the offseason with thibs in there.
Back to Back on the road, the refs didn't like us, minny was getting all the early bounces near the rim and on the floor...just wasn't our night.
Our starting lineup does need some tinkering. DLO looks really uncomfortable out there and he's not a bust, he can pass and shoot.
What I'd like to see is
PG DLO
SG JC
SF Ingram
PF Randle
C Mosgov
And let Ingram bring the ball up the floor as a point forward. Have DLO and JC curling off screens for 3's. Deng is just too slow for this offense and if he is paired with lou and nick he can just concentrate on setting screens and passing and rebounding, because he can't shoot. In that first unit he is required to do things offensively and it is offensive. |

Rigged!
Seriously though we came out flat in the first quarter. We can't keep having to come from behind all the time. Tbh, I thought we were going to come back when we cut it to 10 or so, but the hole was too deep.
So in conclusion: fire Luke, trade everybody, tank, trade the pick for another pick next year and tank again. |

Calderon
D'LO
Nick Young
Randle
Mozgov

Again even if it's unlikely, the Kings aren't gonna get anything of value from a player who's gonna be a FA in the summer, so it never hurts to try. |

I don't like calderon at all, small sample size but i'm not impressed thus far. DLO probably does need to move to the 2 at some point. |

Hard to watch the game tonight. Seemed like the majority of calls went against us. We got the benefit of a few no calls but also the penalty of having a lot more fouls called on us. |

Have to question Luke's decision to put Calderon in there for so long in the 3rd instead of Lou |

Ouch. Up and down game with lots of ugly for the lakers. I think their youth showed tonite. There will be games like this. Hopefully they learn from it.
With that said man when we tried that run in the 4th and could get no closer than 8 it did seem Wiggins was getting "breath on him and it's a foul" types of calls. Give him credit for recognizing that and slowing laker momentum. |

I've been a little disappointed with his stretch to start the season. I think he'll pull it together, but he looks more like the timid D'Angelo we saw last year. Still figuring it out _________________ Austin Reaves

Refs calling BS calls when the Lakers play is a common thing in a 82 game season. |

I am very happy with a 6-5 record to start the season.
The last two years were a horror show, now we actually are mad about the refs and stuff again, it feels like home! _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

He has a $72M deal, including this yr, $54M over the next 3 years.
He had 13 points on only 5 shots tonight. 7-7 FTs. That is by far his best showing this season.
In Apr/May (6 months ago) in the playoff series against CHA, he went 19/7/2 shooting 51% from 3. In the next series against TOR, he went 7/5/1 shooting 22% from 3. I am hoping that CHA series Deng is till there somewhere.
