You either haven't been watching the news or you simply do not understand what is happening.
Quote:

McCain dramatically returned to the Capitol on Tuesday, just days after announcing he has brain cancer, to vote in favor of advancing the GOP's ObamaCare repeal bill. Hours later, he voted yes on a final vote for the bill, which failed 43-57 despite his support.

THEY HAD A VOTE ON THE SAME BILL THAT FAILED BEFORE. THE EXACT SAME BILL. HE VOTED YES. THAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT.

HE VOTED TO ADVANCE THE BILL FIRST. THEN HE VOTED FOR THE BILL.

I looked at the list of Republicans who voted no. John McCain was not on that list.

Quote:
Republicans who voted to reject their party's repeal-and-replace plan were Collins, Murkowski, and Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky, Bob Corker of Tennessee, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Dean Heller of Nevada, Jerry Moran of Kansas, Tom Cotton of Arkansas and Mike Lee of Utah.

This idea that McCain is a 'Maverick' who will go against his party is a MYTH. This man, who has had free and taxpayer-funded healthcare his ENTIRE LIFE, has BRAIN CANCER which will probably knock him into the Lake of Fire within the next 3 months is supporting leaving millions of Americans without adequate means to get medical help. He is just like the other soul-less devils he caucuses with...'I got mine, screw the rest of you!'

I may be confused, this is why?
Quote:
In a floor speech after the first vote, McCain said he would oppose the legislation in its current form when it comes time for final passage and called it a “shell of a bill,” adding that the Senate Health Committee should hold hearings on the legislation
I'm deciphering, I think I finally got it. He voted for passage as is but hopes for tweaking at the next level.

Nope. First they put the exact same bill up for a vote again. He voted yes.

Just to clarify, he voted yes on a bill that he said he would not vote yes on a few hours earlier. Generally, that would be called lying. That would be called being an absolute hypocrite.

Actually, scrap that. That is just called being a lying hypocrite.

Bottom line, McCain is a spineless lying hypocrite.

That part I got. Where I paused was thinking he's looking for some changes in the bill at the next level. I get your hypocrite because he said he'd not vote for it at this stage.

OK, OK, I was duped. Thanks Hector. It's so nice to get to the bottom of things civilly.

Not to be too cruel, but with brain cancer, is McCain considered mentally competent enough to vote? It's too late now, but should he even be allowed to vote?

I like the line he threw in about "returning to regular order".

Bish, aint nothing about this whole process has been regular order. If you had any stones you would have left those a-holes hanging and not cast a vote for a MTP.

FOH John.

I think the state McCain is in he could be vulnerable to manipulation on how to vote. You know there are people writing and preparing his statements. He is just reading them.

Dunno why some people think McCain was going to have an existential awakening because he had a medical emergency. His policy positions are pretty clear to those who follow him throughout his career.

I don't think anyone expected him to vote "no" on the first measure they voted on yesterday afternoon.

But he explicitly said in his speech "I. WILL. NOT. VOTE. FOR. THIS. BILL. AS. IT. STANDS. RIGHT. NOW." And then he voted yes last night.

He wasn't mentally competent before the tumor. See selection of Sarah Pissbrain Palin as VP pick.

As soon as they begin building it his whole family should have their citizenship revoked and shipped to Mexico.
All of his assets inside the United States shall be confiscated and shutdown
Any loans or taxes owed to US citizens or the Govt. will be paid through the sale of said properties.

Nobody from his family will ever be allowed to enter America again.

No other president has ever done any where near what we've done in his first six month.

Donald J Trump

Man ya got dat right. You just don't know how right.

No president has done anywhere near what you've done to destroy democracy and our country in his first six months or his entire term or two.

At least that's one less soulless and evil man to be angry about. He may have served his country as a soldier but that doesn't mean (bleep) now that he's supporting the idiot president. The same president who called him a loser for getting captured.

Ted Kennedy, same kind of brain cancer, worked to his dying days for the least among us. He fought for Americans' right to decent healthcare. The Lakes of Fire await John McCain.

Unfortunately, he is correct. Same for gender identity or gender expression. California law is way ahead of federal law in this regard, as is typically the case.

My respect for John McCain aside, you have to call out BS. His yes vote on the actual bill (not for advancing the debate) is extremely disappointing. There's just no way to sugarcoat that. Heck, even Cotton voted no.
