Anyone have a link to the interview? I've scoured the internet and there's plenty quotes and comments but can't find a link. |
Ryan Lizza said there's a tape, but he hasn't released it yet. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |

Senate health care: "We're in the Twilight Zone of Legislation"
That sums it up perfectly. It ties into what was previously discussed in response to jodeke's feeling that McCain was trying to do the right thing by voting to move on a bill he supposedly wanted to see changed . . .
It was a dramatic turn of events Thursday night when four Republican senators gathered for an impromptu press conference in the Capitol to declare they would only vote for a last-ditch piece of health care legislation if they had a guarantee -- that it would never become law.
"I am not going to vote for a bill that is terrible policy and horrible politics just because we have to get something done," said Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.
The "skinny bill" would repeal Obamacare's individual and employer mandates, but a growing number of Republican senators say they don't want it to become their legacy when it comes to fullfilling their seven-year promise to overhaul the Affordable Care Act. It's an atypical legislative strategy in which Republicans would vote "yes" on legislation that no one wants to ultimately pass. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Which is exactly what I opined earlier. The Donald is too chicken-excrement to fire Priebus. |

Wow. The GOP may not have the votes. McCain might be a "No" vote after all. Do the right thing, Senator! |

So it will come down to the senator whom Republicans/Democrats have a love/hate relationship with. |

Looks like the final count was 44 in favor.
Phew! McCain voted the right way. But he wasn't the deciding vote by any means. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Thank you, Senators Murkowski, Collins, and McCain! McCain got mavericky perhaps one final time.
I'm also hoping that Heller loses his seat in Nevada next year now, even though he will try to spin that he didn't break his campaign promise.
Oh, and McConnell, STFU. What a piece of trash. |
