WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans have decided to include the repeal of the Affordable Care Act’s requirement that most people have health insurance into the sprawling tax rewrite, merging the fight over health care with the high-stakes effort to cut taxes.
Quote:
If it becomes law, the repeal would save more than $300 billion over a decade but result in 13 million fewer Americans being covered by health insurance by the end of that period, according to the Congressional Budget Office.
I feel as though they know that this won't go anywhere regardless, so if they are going to go out, go out swinging. At the least, those hard core conservatives can say we've tried everything to repeal Obama Care, even included it in the tax bill, but those darn liberal Republicans get in our way once again.
I hope your'e right. Do you think it will fail in the senate and the house? In the senate hey have reported that McCain and Paul will vote yes. Not sure about Collins/Mukowski yet. I would assume the rest will vote yes. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

How can that man who just had his life saved by Health Care vote for this (bleep)
Also last night, Trump tweeted condolences to the wrong mass shooting. He tweeted about Texas (over a week ago) instead of California. He was thoroughly mocked and this morning until someone over at the WH deleted his post.

They say they have 50 votes. So they can only lose 2 GOP Senators. More than that and it goes down.
They are trying to jam it through without a CBA score and without debate or amendments. That's what McCain objected to on the ACA votes (i.e., not regular order).
The bill makes permanent tax cuts for richest 1% and corporations.
Any actual tax cuts for others are only temporary.
Many poor and middle class will see higher taxes. They've also done something tricky with the inflation index so that it benefits the wealthy tax cuts positively down the line but punishes middle class tax rates.
This news round also cuts $25 billion dollars annually from Medicare. That means fewer doctors and hospitals will accept Medicare, so many older people will lose their regular doctor and be forced to search for a new doctor. That's hard enough when you're young and healthy. More illness, earlier deaths just so rich can get extra tax cuts.
They are also trying to create some bogus policy that states a fetus is a person and you can set up bank account for them. Of course, you can already set up any trust account you want and transfer it to your kid at age 18 or whatever. They are trying to codify in law that a fetus is a person so they can abolish abortion completely down the line.
The back door ACA attack will throw 13 million people off healthcare right away and jack up premiums for everyone else.
And it adds $1 Trillion dollars to the deficit.
McConnell wants to jam through a vote ASAP in case they lose that Alabama Senate seat.
Jeffries pinned Sessions into nearly filing the charge of perjury against himself
He's done
No confidence vote if we actually had representatives.. he needs to go just for incompetence and senility if nothing else
Will want to fullscreen
Must chap that little, white, racist elf ass of his that an intelligent, articulate black man just destroyed him verbally.
Is the end game what McConnell suggests, a Sessions write-in candidacy for the Alabama Senate seat? If the stove gets any hotter for Sessions at DOJ, this seems like a more likely outcome. And if that happens, I hope Mueller is well insulated.

All this while we're still mourning Bowling Green.

The next DOJ head would go after Mueller? of course, Trump gonna make sure that person does

I've posted many times about how the Clinton Foundation/Uranium One conspiracy has been debunked over and over. Recently AG Sessions has been playing with the idea of appointing a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton over this.
Here again is a detailed debunking of the bogus scandal, this time by...wait for it...Shep Smith of Fox News:

Last night, Oklahoma just elected a married lesbian to their House of Reps. Albuquerque just elected it's first Dem mayor in 8 years.
Meanwhile, Fox News demo is only getting older, sponsors are showing a greater willingness to pull ads and the other networks and media are more than happy to call them on every bit of their BS.
There’s never been any evidence that Clinton acted inappropriately and, as Smith notes, “the Clinton State Department had no power to approve or veto that transaction. It could do neither.” Indeed, the State Department was just one of nine agencies that signed off on the deal and Clinton herself wasn’t even on the committee.

They thanked you Drump. I'll grudgingly give you credit for doing the right thing. It's what anyone in office would have done. According to all I've heard and read 10ys is an exaggeration.
Added note: You've once again made it about YOU!!!!

Do you think the three UCLA Basketball Players will say thank you President Trump? They were headed for 10 years in jail!

Rachel Maddow also talked about this on her show tonight (with a whole backstory of how in the 80's we "let" the Russians build our embassy there and then oops, discovered the KGB had bugged the entire structure).
MOSCOW — When President Vladimir V. Putin in July ordered American diplomatic missions in Russia to slash their staff by 755 employees, the State Department said it would need time to assess the “impact of such a limitation and how we will respond to it.”
Part of that response has now become clear: To make up for the loss of security guards axed in the Russian-mandated staff cuts, Washington has hired a private Russian company that grew out of a security business co-founded by Mr. Putin’s former K.G.B. boss, an 82-year-old veteran spy who spent 25 years planting agents in Western security services and hunting down their operatives.
Under a $2.8 million no-bid contract awarded by the Office of Acquisitions in Washington, security guards at the American Embassy in Moscow and at consulates in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok will be provided by Elite Security Holdings, a company closely linked to the former top K.G.B. figure, Viktor G. Budanov, a retired general who rose through the ranks to become head of Soviet counterintelligence.
What could go wrong? Is there any doubt that Tillerson and Trump are taking orders from Putin? Forget colluding during the campaign, they currently acting as agents of a foreign government.

This is why we need more women senators.

Voters need to realign their minds and understand most politicians do not care about them or their life in any way whatsoever...
WE THE PEOPLE need to remind them who they work for.
1% now own how much of the whole worlds resources?
They need to know 90% of them will/do/have/alwayswill lie to you .. straight to your face
Why do they tell the lies
Who does it benefit
-----------
How can they be punished.. not by votes but by law...
Jeffries needs to become the PolCop ..
just publicly shame these humans into knowing
the true destructive power of a lie..
"..than the young police officer whose life you ruined
by prosecuting him for perjury." ... that should have been one of todays headlines..

“The attorney general of the United States of America
should not

than the young police officer whose life you ruined
by prosecuting him for perjury,”
Jeffries concluded as his time expired.

It's pathetic watching these GOP Senators and Congressmen pretend they have moral integrity.
Your party elected a sexual predator as President just a year ago!
They're just worried about losing the seat. They don't care about sexual assault.
Oh well, can't wait for 2018 elections. Really hope we take back the House. Then we can start impeachment proceedings. And when the GOP-majority Senate doesn't remove Trump, they'll all be digging their own political graves. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
GOP Senator Ron Johnson comes out against the Tax bill (because it benefits corporations more that other types of business). So not exactly for all the right reasons, but still...
Edit: Actually, he acknowledged there would be incentive for companies to ship jobs overseas -- which he objects to.

GOP Senator votes to watch for is Murkowski, Collins and Flake. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.
