My opinion is that the player protests have less to do with the flag and more to do with the players union of the NFL.....which is one of the weakest in pro sports. You don't see these type of protests in the NBA because those players are better compensated by the league. This probably has more to do with labor than it does to do with the flag.
No, it was to do with death of black individuals in the hands of police
So why doesn't the NBA have similar protests? That league has a larger percentage of black players than the NFL.
The fact is that this has galvanized the players union in the NFL and shown they have a stronger voice if they all came together. Thats why the owners have been baffled about how to stop it.
The NBA protests aren't anywhere close to the degree of the NFL ones. You might see them wearing a t-shirt for a cause for a couple of games then it basically disappears. What I see with the NBA is that the players are working behind the scenes in the community.
You've moved the goal posts.

First it was similar now it's degree.
I'm not moving anything. The NBA doesn't have the level of protests close to the NFL. Which is why the NFL has this crisis while the NBA doesn't.
That's has to do the the protest inception and Trumps interference. Plus the NBA has a rule in place concerning standing for the anthem. And you have moved the goal posts. Tee Shirts are similar to kneeling they just don't include the flag. Also LINK
NBA players' method might not have been kneeling (I think they were linking arms) but they were protesting also. The protest wasn't just black players but also participated by non black players (so percentage of black players in NFL vs NBA is irrelevant, there was protest in the NHL also where black player percentage is the lowers)
NBA protest weren't given the degree of media attention because the flag wasn't the vehicle for protest. The flag got more attention than the protests intended focus.

Ok to buy beer during anthem, ok to go to bathroom, ok to buy hotdog, just not kneeling

Trump reminds me of Jim Buss. Jim single handily torn down a Lakers dynasty, Trump is single handily tearing down the most powerful country in the Western world. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

He also told Kim in the letter, "You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used."

Yeah but did you ever get a commemorative coin?
Best I ever got in Jr. High was a mixed tape. _________________ “There is always light if only we're brave enough to see it, if only we're brave enough to be it.” --Amanda Gorman
But it had Trumpisms like "beautiful," "tremendous," and "so."
Every Junior High School English teacher in America would give that letter an F. So embarrassing. My 11-year-old niece writes more coherently. We know Trump is a moron but what about the people around him? Did Kelly read it? Did a speechwriter or lawyer read it? It's hard to believe that so many people could be that incompetent. I'm not sure why I keep being surprised.

Much of Puerto Rico is still without power over half a year later.
It's a shame alot of those citizens don't have enough $/opportunity to move to swing states. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Maybe we should start a crowd funding site. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

Trump broke up with his new North Korean bff today because Kim recently "displayed tremendous anger and open hostility." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
WTF? How on Earth does he expect to get the Nimrod Peace Prize Now? It's like the Chris Webber Timeout all over again. _________________ I'm On point, On task, On message, and Off drugs. People of color. If you drive to a convenience store in Milwaukee and it's 2 am in January. And your hands are cold since it's 20 degree weather. Don't put your hands in your pocket. Bucks player Sterling Brown had to learn the hard way.
He left someone in the car, and double parked in 2 handicap spots in an empty parking lot. Sure, worth a ticket.
Not worth being jumped by 6 officers and tazed. If he wasn't an NBA player we probably wouldn't know about it. He's lucky to be alive. Cops have "accidentally" killed unarmed minorities because they "accidentally" grabbed their gun instead of their taser. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
