Avenatti is an ambulance chaser. Why don't we just nominate Gloria Allred? |

god please no |
Get ready. And he's probably the only one that can go toe-to-toe with Trump. |
Avenatti embarrassed himself during the Kavanaugh hearings. If he can go toe-to-toe with Trump it's because he's the closest thing to Trump on the Democratic side. I don't care if he's President, Trump is still a joke as a politician to me and so too is Avenatti. |

I think Michelle Obama is going to run. Completely random speculation based on nothing at all. |

She's as intelligent if not moreso than Barack. She's has a background in law.
And her popularity numbers have consistently been higher than her husband's. Like 20%+ higher at times.
I think she would destroy Trump. But their family has given enough to our country. I can't ask them to do 8 more years. Even if we would all be better off. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

She has my vote. It would certainly bring out a lot of racist/sexist rhetoric from the GOP and their supporters.
I think Trump plans to dump Pence for the 2020 run and bring on Nikki Haley to try to get the female vote, to counter. (Also speculation) |

But were gonna hear, over and over, just how horrible a failure it is by the Party of Trump and those envious of this great state, the fifth largest economy in the world. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

Same here. Amy is fantastic. Among other things, she is quick witted and would frustrate Trump in all kinds of ways without resorting to Avenatti tactics. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |

By the sounds of this, meaning this strong support, I'm bettin' the Party of Trump will be recognizing this as well. Expect the smear, attack, lying, propaganda machine to rev-up to 11, very very soon. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

Probably the likely instance here. |
She and Bill are going on a speaking tour together. I have tickets to see them next April. I'll give you my honest read after the event. But honestly, I think she's happy to have all the (bleep) behind her and just be able to be herself, speak freely and help other women get elected. |
I expect it eats at her at how she won the vote and should be president. And she’s right, she should have won and would have been an excellent president. She’s always been better at doing the job than campaigning for it (and ironically, is much better campaigning for others than herself), and I have to think the women’s movement and the depredations of Trump make her wonder if the third time is the charm. But while it is unfair to her, the history is the history, and she has been made a divisive figure. I don’t want her or Bernie to run in 2020, although I suspect one or both will. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. I think it's inevitable that Bernie will run. He is more active on social media than ever, engaging Trump on every single issue. I hope it doesn't happen.
My favorites for now:
Kamala Harris - Though she has been very good in the Senate, she has been quiet overall, and needs to make a push soon to increase her public profile, but there's huge potential there. There's an intensity that she has without even saying a word.
Cory Booker - I used to dislike him because I thought he was a platitude machine with no substance. But he has established himself as an effective, passionate voice in the Senate. He's not perfect, but no one is.
Amy Klobuchar - As I said above, she can engage Trump easily with a folksy attitude. She can potentially win a state like Arizona, she can win in the Midwest. Very impressive.
Chris Murphy - One of my favorites for VP. Very good on issues like gun control and national security. Quick, articulate, passionate.
Beto - Also for VP. If the top of the ticket is less exciting, he can provide much needed energy. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid!

I know people (not you) don't want to hear this, but black women will never vote for Bernie, and they make up the most reliable percentage of the Democratic base. Bernie thinks he can draw WWC Trump voters, but I think we've seen that they want to be in the tribe with other white people like them, not in the tribe with people of color, single women, gay people, progressives of all stripes, etc. It's fool's gold. To run a campaign to draw the WWC Trump voter would lose you more votes than you'd gain. But Bernie is Bernie.
I like everyone else on that list.

And the next chapter in "Hillary predicted all of this" (from Sept interview on Rachel Maddow):
NBC: Hillary Clinton: Trump will 'wholesale fire people' after midterm election
Quote: | "What I worry about, Rachel, is that after this election this president is going to wholesale fire people," Clinton said. " ... And if we [Democrats] don’t have one or both houses of Congress in place he will be even more uncontrollable and unaccountable. He will fire people in the White House, he will fire people in this administration who he thinks are crossing him, questioning him, undermining him.” |
Sessions, gone. Nielsen, gone. Rumors today that Kelly, Sanders and more coming.
And yes, these people are awful and don't deserve to be in government. But the next crop will be even worse: more sycophantic, more Trump-like, bigger liars, even less independent. He didn't like Nielsen because she hesitated ever so slightly about locking up babies then didn't lie about it as effectively as Trump wanted. Session did everything he wanted, his sin was recusing himself. Trump wants everyone in government to be his personal protectors.
