I get it.

But it's great consolation to be anywhere in America on the dawn of its eventual return to normalcy.

‘We really are the cucks’: QAnon adrift after Trump ‘fails to ascend as God Emperor'

Supporters of the unhinged QAnon conspiracy theories were soul searching on Wednesday after Joe Biden became president of the United States without being arrested in "the storm" allegedly predicted.

"I'm the laughing stock of my family," one conspiracy theorist lamented.

Vice News reported more under the headline, "Trump Fails to Ascend as God Emperor, Leaving Diehard Fans Adrift."

"As new President Joseph R. Biden took his oath of office, his hand atop a massive family Bible, confusion, anger, and grief washed over some of the worst corners of the Internet," Vice reported. "Refugees from the QAnon conspiracy subreddit, now huddled together on a new website, took turns assuring each other that everything they were seeing was all part of the unfolding of the grand Plan they'd spent years breathlessly awaiting. 'I HAVE ZERO DOUBTS,' one wrote. But others weren't so sure. 'WTF?,' another wrote. 'He's being sworn in now.'"

One of my favorite quotes:

"One of the pinned tweets on a large QAnon forum reminds Q adherents that it's important to 'take care of your mental health today.'

You can't take care of what you don't have.

NYT has an article up on the Proud Boys - they hate Trump now, think he's weak and he failed them.

Leave behind your sorrows
Let this day be the last
Tomorrow there'll be sunshine
And all this darkness past
Big wheels roll through fields where sunlight streams
Meet me in a land of hope and dreams

Two Minor Threat fans on LG?!
Who knew...

Big Minor Threat fan here, but the lingering question for me is whether or not Ian actually shouts "kill the f*g***" on "12XU"

Yeah, quite possibly, but maybe he feels guilty about it now and that's why the $5 shows.
His band after MT but before Fugazi called Embrace is a pretty dope record.

A small and unimportant side note to the Bernie memes is all the hardcore leftist film and sports twitter people I follow who swear their brand of neo-socialism is rooted in ideology rather than personality or aesthetics fangirling like crazy over this meme.

Chuck Schumer... he good? Did he ever have Presidential aspirations? I don't follow, so I don't know all the players in politics, but I remember being very impressed with him on Jan 6. I thought he was a great orator, and sounded like someone who would teach government in the ivy league. Now I'm learning he's the Senate Majority leader, the Mitch McConnell role? As Stu would say.. NOICEE!

Speaking of old punk rock, a grey-haired Pat Smear is performing at the inauguration and I feel ancient.

Not excuse it if so, but the language of that genre in that period was intentionally inflammatory, meant to be aggressive and uncomfortable, which is why it resonated with us disaffected youth finding our message and the language to express it.
