I wish he wanted to only spend millions. He wants to spend billions.

the exact price is $ 21.6 billion to build a walls on nearly 2000 kilometers. (I'm really shocked)

Exact price?

What about the price to our dignity as peoples.. This isn't Game of Thrones

What about the price to NATURE and all the animals that require freedom of travel for migration and mating? Lock them up too?

It would be one of the greatest stains on humanity.

Stop investing in China and Countries that are FAR FAR away.. just to save pennies

Here, we have one person who took the time to estimate what (and why) a steel wall might cost:

Trump's Steel-Slats Wall Would Cost $100 Billion. Steel is $39 Bil. FOB the Mill, Land Over $32 Bil.

I am against Trump, but building a wall is good for Americans, because it reduce illegal immigration to 90-95%.

cite real proof of that please...

90% of migrants go to the USA by Mexico, so if trump builds a wall between USA and Mexico, it will stop these imegrants, so the contruction of this wall reduc the illegal immigration to 90-95%

Because he's Trump.

And it's billions...to build a wall that doesn't even cover the entire border.

Honestly, if I'm a terrorist, I'm gonna go through Canada rather than risk my life trying to cross through Mexico. But hey, no walls needed there, eh?

And that's where most of them come through.

I would say the vast majority of voters don't know much about Beto, Harris, or Booker. They probably mostly know Warren as "Pocahontas." What this tells me is that the two well known Democrats are ahead of Trump, and I suspect the others would be once the public gets a better idea of who they are.

If he declares the wall is a "state of emergency". And construction begins. I just hope most of the Texans who get their private land taken away are Trump voters. Maybe then, it will finally click.
Who am I kidding. They'll blame Obama.

Yeah, I remember that being mentioned during the election when he first started Trumpeting about a wall.

In order to improve our country's national security the President stopped paying TSA workers and air traffic controllers.

You couldn't make this stuff up.

FBI agents aren't getting paid either and their labor group wrote a letter warning that it would hurt our national security. There are rumors they might do a mass sick out.

The thread is moving fast these days, so this might have been posted already:

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2019/1/8/18173678/trump-shutdown-voter-florida

Quote:
On Monday, the New York Times’s Patricia Mazzei published a dispatch from Marianna, Florida — a small, politically conservative town that depends on jobs from a federal prison and thus has been deeply hurt by the government shutdown. In the piece, Marianna residents grapple with the fact that President Donald Trump, who most residents support, is playing a role in the pain created by lost wages.

Most Marianna residents support Trump’s border wall, his key demand in the shutdown fight, and don’t blame him for the fight. But Crystal Minton, a secretary at the prison who is also a single mother caring for disabled parents, had a somewhat different reaction — one that reveals an essential truth about the core Trump’s political appeal.

“I voted for him, and he’s the one who’s doing this,” Minton told Mazzei. “I thought he was going to do good things. He’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting.”

He’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting.

Think about that line for a second. Roll it over in your head. In essence, Minton is declaring that one aim of the Trump administration is to hurt people — the right people. Making America great again, in her mind, involves inflicting pain.

The essence of Trumpism is resentment, and the objective is to hurt people.

“His letters were the most sweet, spirited letters I have read from any sponsor, but he kept giving hints as to who he could be,” Stafford said. “He was really pushing the envelope.”

His first security breach: sharing a picture of his dog.

“Here is a picture of our dog,” he wrote. “Her name is Sadie. She has met a lot of famous people.”

“She is a very good dog she was born in England. She catches mice and chipmunks, and she runs like wind. G. Walker.”

He also mentioned that he was famous enough to get invited to the White House for Christmas.

“Dear Timothy,

I love that picture of you holding that ‘World Time’ gadget. I also have learned that you play the guitar – terrific!

Timothy, have you ever heard of the White House? That’s where the president of the USA lives.

I got to go to the White House at Christmas time. Here is a little booklet that I got at the White House in Washington.”
