Quote: | Report: Steve Francis arrested for drunk driving, marijuana possession and retaliation
It has been a rough few years for Steve Francis, who starred with the Rockets and Magic and last played in the NBA in 2008.
The latest?
KHOU:
Francis was stopped by a Precinct 5 deputy around 11:20 p.m. for speeding. He was reportedly traveling 88 mph in a 65 mph zone.
The deputy smelled alcohol and reported that Francis was belligerent.
He is being charged with DWI, possession of marijuana and retaliation. |

I bet Francis still has enough cash to pay someone to drive him home, let alone use Uber when he knows he's going out to drink and smoke. C'mon, dude. |

Dunno about Cat, but I'd be surprised if Moochie Norris wasn't in already in prison before Stevie Franchise. Moochie always looked like a rascal to me.
If you're ever in Houston, well, you better do it right. You better not gamble and you better not fight, Lawd. Or the sheriff''ll grab ya, and the boys will bring you down. The next thing you know, boy, oh, you're prison bound. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

STEVE FRANCIS
FINALLY RELEASED FROM JAIL
Ordered to Put Breathalyzer In Car
Ex-NBA star Steve Francis has been released from jail after his Saturday drunk driving arrest -- but was ordered by the judge to install a breathalyzer system into his car.
As we previously reported, cops say Francis reeked of booze and vowed revenge on officers during his arrest ... in which a bunch of weed was also allegedly found in the car.
After he bonded out Wednesday morning, he returned to court -- where the judge told him he's not allowed to drink or take drugs unless prescribed by a doctor.
He will also undergo random drug and alcohol testing.
The judge also said he can't leave the state of Texas without permission -- unless he's going to Florida to turn himself in on an unrelated burglary charge (he has 30 days to do that).
Francis is due back in court in Texas in January. As he left court today, he gave reporters the silent treatment.

Steve Francis has been going in a downward spiral for a while, ever since he was caught on camera smoking crack to pouring drink all over himself before drinking it and passing out. If you're wondering about his appearance nowadays that's probably the reason. Hopefully this is a wake up call he needs, if it isn't I fear a tragic end for him may be down the road. I truly hope he gets it together. |

Quote: | Steve Francis turns himself in for Florida car burglary. For second time.
Former NBA Rookie of the Year and three-time All-Star Steve Francis has been spending a lot of time with the police this season. And not in a good way.
He was arrested recently for a DWI and marijuana possession in Houston. At the time, police in Manatee, Florida, wanted to talk to Francis about a car burglary back in June — one where Francis already turned himself in. At the time Francis broke into a car outside a bar and restaurant, taking a wallet, gold jewelry, cash and more. A couple of days later, Francis turned himself and the goods in, the police filed a report, but did not arrest him at the time.
Now they have, according to TMZ.
As we previously reported, the ex-NBA star was wanted by cops in Manatee, Florida after he allegedly ransacked a stranger’s car back in June and stole over $7k in stuff….
According to jail records, Francis turned himself in early Monday on a burglary of an unoccupied conveyance charge — a 3rd degree felony that carries up to 5 years in prison. His bond is set at $1,500.
Francis played in just more than eight NBA season and earned more than $103 million in salary in that time. |

wow 103 gross earnings and burglarizing peoples cars...
sock away just 10mil of those earnings into a solid investment vehicle and you would basically have a 500K/year salary off the interest alone that you can always fall back on if you burn through everything else. |
