i like lou. he scores a lot of points. but when he's scoring like a champ, he doesn't play defense and the guy he's guarding has a career high night (troy daniels for 32 points tonite)

then there is tony allen, who basically scores nothing, but guards the best players every night. he put the clamps on Lou and leads his team to the win with defence alone. that is why the girzzles are 13-8.

Yes, I think Luke should give Julian Jacobs (D-Fendrs) a chance. He doesn't score much but he can defend well.

Why not have both lou will and a guy like tony allen. Cuz the other bench scorer contributed nothing and was getting torched

I have wanted Tony Allen but the Grizzles aren't gonna let him go, he's there Bruce Bowen.

There's a reason he's only been with two teams.

This team needs alot of different things, but most of all, this team just needs to go through the development phase that all contenders (the ones that aren't bought through FA) have to go through.

Then you're going to get a lot of "trade him post" shortly after.

Or this 2016 Tony Allen?

I like the composition of our roster when we're healthy. Our margin of error is too small to consistently win games with 2 starters out of the rotation. Really we need all hands on deck (starters and bench) if we want to win 40 or more games this season.

Can you wait a year or two for Ingram to get a little older?

We have everything we need on this team. The young players just need experience.

This. If Deng is here to stay (meaning this last game was not a fluke) and we get DLO and young back, we'll be good.

Lou just put up 40 on 11-20 shooting though. But I do agree we need a defensive-minded wing player.. maybe Mitch can hijack Noel and Covington from PHI somehow.

Luke contributed to that by not starting him in the third

We need to dump MWP, which is a coach in a players uniform, and have a guy on the bench that could actually contribute defensively when called upon. Our reserve PG's are defenseless as well.

Lakers as we are today, need Lou.

I disagree. I think for this team's current playing book, it is more important for guards to be able to shoot 3s then playing good defense. Obviously, if we can have a two-way player, that's even better but shooting ability takes priority. This is one of the main reasons why Anthony Brown was cut.

I only watched the first half and then Lou didn't guard Daniels once while he went off with 20 some points.
