Maybe it would be worth hiring Byron as a Tank Consultant just to ensure closing strong errrr weak?

Yeah Phoenix is all in on the tank now too and seems dead-set on not winning another game this season. That win over Phoenix last friday was monumentally stupid. If we had just lost that game that 4 game cushion would've sealed up the #2 for us. Now we have to match Phoenix stroke for stroke, loss for loss. Can't give them any ground. Hopefully Minny beats us all 3 times we face them and same with Kings, hopefully we just lose out and secure that #2.
Also hopefully there is some poetic justice and Brooklyn/Celtics get screwed by the ping pong balls and falls out of the top 3 and lakers get the #1 pick, that would be sweet.

Why would that be justice?

Cuz the celtics get screwed which is always a good thing

Wait a thought of something with the Cavs in town that means Tristan Thompson's Kardashian girlfriend named Khole will be at the game too.

lol...I'm glad I wasn't drinking a beverage when I read that. On the other hand, Russell did get moved to the second unit, so maybe Byron is already on the payroll.

Lebron had a choice of which LA crowd he wanted to play in front of- the nationally televised Saturday prime time game back East vs an alleged title contender or the Sunday night game vs the worst team in the West.

Even when the LAkers are at their lowest point since moving to LA and the Clips are at the highest point in their history (which isn't saying much), Lebron chooses to play in front of the Lakers' crowd. That says a lot.

The Lakers are still the Lakers and the Clippers are still the Clippers.

PS- ABC/ESPN can not be happy with the last two weeks of prime time games with 3/4 of the stars sitting out. I'm sure the ratings will be miserable.

There will surely be meetings about it this summer. As well as discussions about shortening the amount of games, or elongating the schedule.
82 games is a joke - the game has never been more physically exerting/athletically based. It's no longer 1961 (when the 80 game schedule started)

Expect Coach Lue and the Cavs Medical Staff made that decision for LeBron tonight by not playing.

If Lebron had really wanted to play tonight, he'd have played. He holds the power in that organization.

Yeah, but if the Cavs want to repeat LeBron needs to get to the playoffs in one piece.

Lakers Officially Eliminated From Playoff Contention
Quote:
Following Friday night’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Los Angeles Lakers (20-49) have been officially eliminated from playoff contention.

If you were one of the few fans hoping the Lakers were still going to make a playoff run, do I have bad news for you. With a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers have been eliminated from playoff contention.

Our team next year might be potentially worse than this season... (If we lose our pick and Nick Young)

I prepared myself mentally this season, but next was the season I hoped we become at least a 8-10 seed in the west. However, if I were a betting man, I would put us at the bottom again next season. (in the west and potentially the whole league)

Losing both the top pick and Young without any good replacements is going to be a huge L for us.

I know one thing we better not tank next year because I don't want to hand over a top 5 pick to the Sixers. So think playoffs because there is a chance that might or might not be the roster coming training camp.
