Yeah, and an easier schedule. Suns are getting the 2nd spot.

Not like the 2nd spot completely assured the pick anyways.

Yep, it sucks if we fall to #3, but I'm not going to cry about 9%.

It's really sad Phoenix is willing to go to such depths just to barely increase their positioning. At least for us it makes since, since it may mean the difference between keeping the pick and losing it.

That's why they're always gonna be a loser franchise. I ain't worried about their core at all going forward. Even if they luck out and somehow become good, Sarver won't pay to keep the team together and the cycle will repeat itself.

You saw that pic of the team smiling big for the camera after yet another loss? Shameless (bleep)

Yes they can, it just means we have the better young core... So the lose doesn't bother me.

The funny thing is the Suns coulda had our pick this year, but they traded it for Brandon freakin' Knight, who they now want to get rid of.

Im ready for our fan base to cheer for wins

Eh I see the tank coming back strong if we lose our pick tbh. It is what it is.

If we lose the pick, we're either coming back next season with pretty much the same team with/without Young or get Melo'd.

Either way = lottery and Tank part 5 by Christmas.

All the Lakers had to do was lose to Phoenix, they wouldn't have made up 4 games unless they won all 3 Wolves games and beat Kings.

.... and of course nothing is guaranteed being #2 vs #3 before lottery night but the odds are very scary.

Hopefully Clarkson and randle keep doing what they did tonight, and then INDY falls for the "fools gold" and trades PG-13 over to us for randle and Clarkson and the 27th/28th pick......Yup sure...

The irony of all of this. Suns loss was a win. Book is the 2nd coming of Kobe after his 70 pts. Lakers keep winning. We end up with 4th. Suns get 2nd pick. They get Lonzo, the 2nd coming of Jason Kidd on the Suns.

Light skinned takeover. Steph n Klay....

Lonzo n Booker next?

Please no.

Not really Suns fans, it's more Philly fans, at this point.

I remember people being pissed when we won few games to finish 4th in 2015. Then we jumped to 2nd in the lottery. Maybe we might get lucky for not losing blatantly.

Suns doing it right. Developing their best player while losing. Us on the other hand, we are riding a hot Corey Brewer. Good Times!

This

Lakers are going to lose a quality pick to Philly, either this year or next. Lakers can win the lottery and draft Fultz, they'll still be a young team/non playoff team next year. Sure, maybe slightly better, but still a 25-30 win team tops. If they lose the pick this year, it'll be no better than the 4th pick and they will come back next year with a pure, stress free tank. There are no offseason saviors. Lakers blew their free agent money last summer, a team isn't giving us a star for our young talent. The next big free agents are in '18.

Losing the 2019 pick to Orlando obviously would suck, but maybe by then the Lakers would have a semi competent team.
