If that's the case, then you just accept that you did your best to have the best odds to keep the pick, and it didn't work out. You can live with something like that.
On the other hand, moving to third worse and also losing it, people will look back at these meaningless games/wins, and wonder if they were the difference. |
The lottery is just a coin flip even if we get the second worst record. I'm not going to treat the pick like it's a shoe in if we get the second worst record, but it seems like people here are ready to treat it that way. |

Really need to find a way to lose against the Wolves on Thursday...After that, we have three games against tough teams. Hopefully, by that time, the Suns will have accidentally won a game. |

Ennis and randle saving our season let's hope magic can make the call to rest clarkson. He sucks but I don't think we'll have enough offense to win any of the remaining games if he's out. |

If the fourth or fifth worst team jumps into the top three, are we supposed to cry about those games we gave away? Asking for a friend. _________________ “We must always take sides. Of course not...He scored 70 against the Celtics a few days before. Looked healthy there. |

Funny how he is suddenly injured after scoring 70.....must have been a threat for the tank. |

Russell played 39:37 tonight.
DNP him at the Wolves for "knee tendinitis." |

So obvious.
Especially the last game against the hawks.
Ridiculous. |

That lottery pick will be the biggest event for the Lakers in years.
It will mean two first round draft picks that Jim and Mitch gave away for nothing.
But now have faith that Magic will at least make the correct basketball decisions. I hope he is patient and doesn't try to do it all at once and
fail like the previous FO. |

I'm fine with whatever the FO does, the Lakers are on the clock right now, fans are tired of losing and the reason why the last FO got booted was because they weren't doing the necessary things to head us into the right direction.. |

I consider staying at #2 pre-Lottery night as a correct basketball decision. Magic/Luke needs to make sure that happens. I rather have 55% chance of keeping pick and 20% chance of #1, than having lesser odds falling to #3.
If we lose that pick because we fall to #3, then get jumped by someone, I'm pretty much done with NBA/Lakers until preseason. No NBA Finals, no Draft (regardless if Lakers decide to keep or trade the HOU pick), no Summer League(don't need to see Ingram/Zubac again, they're already legit NBA Players at this point). Any meaningful Lakers trades in the offseason without having the Top 3 pick available, risk Lakers getting Melo'd even more. |

We were third from the bottom before we went full metal tank (ASB more or less), IIRC, but yeah that would be an ironic kick to the groin. |

Suns report said that Devin Booker had soreness in the ankle, but Box Score shows he was DNP with an "ankle injury" wow!

Lakers starting line up from here on out should be
PG - Ennis
SG - Nwaba
SF - Brewer
PF - MWP
C - Zubac so it will at least be watchable _________________ Tacos |

Agree the Suns are obviously tanking that it is ridiculous.
Lakers are at least being competitive and playing its young players.
Suns are shutting them all down. |

Having more or less odds means nothing.
All that matters is, at end, if we keep the pick or we lose it.

We'll be lucky to score more than 60 points for game. |
