Riley landed in town last night aboard a private jet owned by the company she works for.She greets the passengers when they land to help with anything they need. She told him there was a debate going around the company, at this point she said he smiled like he knew what was coming, then she asks Kobe or Lebron? Without hesitation he says Kobe.

Well, never forget Pat was pretty ticked off when Lebron left Miami to go back to Cleveland

it has nothing to do with roots or revenge or anything. pat won multiple championships with lebron and none with kobe. he says kobe, like every other person including MJ, because kobe's the best basketball player anyone has seen to date.

Pat's a snake in the grass and nothing more. He doesn't give a (bleep) about anything that is not personally convenient to him at the moment.

Who knows why he said what he said.Personally I think it has more to do with an attitude towards things than straight basketball ability.

LeBron may be the best athlete ever. He's not even close to the best basketball player ever.

Agreed. Lebron's a beast! An absolute force. A monster. But not remotely close to being the best basketball player. He demands double teams because he's strong, he knows how to pass. But put him in an average NBA players body, and Lebron isn't Lebron anymore. You put prime Kobe in an average NBA players body, and at the very least, he's still Kobe. You put him in Lebron's body, or give him TMac's length, or give him Kwahi's hands, or give him Wall's speed, or Westbrooks athleticism, not all, just one of those, and no one would have had the discussion of the Greatest of All Time.

It's a generation thing.

It's like in Soccer everyone thinks Messi is GOAT, yet, the game has changed so much from Maradona, etc's time.

Lebron is a beast and the best player in his era.

Especially those with an ax to grind with Lebron.

The question is would his answer be the same if you had booked a flight and greeted him on his return to Miami airport. LOL!

I think if we add Magic to the list, that would be his answer

I love Kobe and my favorite player of all time. LeBron is a force though. If LeBron had the Kobe mentality he would without question be the best ever. I think that is why LeBron will never be greater then Jordan.
