That being said, I think its tragic for the family to face another life or death situation for another family member just as they are mourning a loss in the family.
^^ Hate to say it but it's now going to slow down. All of our icons from the 60s-80s aren't getting any younger.
I read recently that Eric Clapton has a condition that makes it very hard to play his guitar these days. And he's someone that did hard drugs for years and could have died a long time ago. But even the relatively healthy ones, like McCartney, will soon be in their 80s.
In two years, it'll be fifty(!) years since Woodstock. In just three years, it'll be fifty years since the Beatles broke up. I wasn't even around back then, but time flies. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid!

While that's true I think people just say "Damn 2016" because its just a depressing year in general sure a lot of icons have passed(I'm not exaggerating) but everything else about this year has been depressing there hasn't been a lot of joy unless you were a fan of the Cubs, Cavs or Peyton Manning

You know, there are other sports besides baseball, basketball, and football.
My soccer team, Real Madrid, actually won the most important club competition in the world, and tens of millions of fans around the world were pretty happy that day. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid!

She passed away. My goodness.
This will sound strange, but I first saw her on screen/television in a "Golden Girls" episode, not knowing who she was at the time. She was feisty and sarcastically funny in the role, which I suppose isn't surprising.

I wonder if they will have separate funerals? They lived next door to one another.

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.

RIP, Ms. Reynolds.
I forgot about that I remember her as Grace's mom on Will and Grace(she also played Dan's mom on Roseanne)
Horrible situation. I'm hearing that she had a stroke. Apparently, before her stroke, she told her son, "I miss her so much, I want to be with Carrie."

I believe it they were literally a ride or die mother/daughter relationship
I would imagine the stress caused by her daughter's death didn't help things considering she had her own health issues. RIP, at least they are together with her daughter and significant other if you believe in the afterlife.

Yo. This year is depressing.
How about we consolidate to a dead thread, like I asked earlier this year so that we don't have to have this whole section littered with obituaries.

That was the first thing I thought of when I heard, what a great movie. Though I had no idea that she hadn't danced before. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
