Good convo, especially enjoyed the discussion on switching and screen setting. Got me thinking on the switching side of things about not only the evolution of the game as you guys discussed but also how both Luke and Kerr were probably influenced by Phil and his affinity for tall guards so he can switch on D. He was more aggressive with that than other coaches at the time, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised with how aggressive Luke is. Thing is Phil would always change things up down the stretch on teams to be less predictable. We are so badly predictable right now, it's frustrating.
