This is one of the rare years where I could see MVP not go to the best player on one of the top WC/EC teams. My vote as of now:

1) Harden
2) Westbrook
3) James
4) Durant
5) Paul

Hon. mention: Leonard

I think it's a two man race. If Westbrook can get OKC to 4th-5th seed, I think MVP is his. If not, Harden takes it.

It's gotta be Harden, hes leading the Rockets to a winning season despite playing full-time PG.

Rockets are at 26-9 despite having lost Dwight during the offseason. I'd say Harden. Not an outrage if it goes to Westbrook though.

Numbers and seeding.

Probably Harden. Durant in GSW is nice but he's on that super squad. He'll lose some votes. James could be the MVP every year and has four. He's more concerned with that ring count especially at his age.

You average a 30 point triple double, you're the MVP. That should be a rule.

But if Harden is statistically close -- say, 30, 10, 8 - and his team has more wins, don't you think Harden should win MVP.

The turnover numbers for both are staggering, frankly. But at this point, for me, it's Harden running away with the R/S MVP ... comfortably ... Harden's team results and his significant scoring efficiency advantages are much more significant in my book than the more modest box score advantages for Westbrook.

I agree, although I'll note that Westbrook's per 100 possessions stat-line is one of the craziest things ive ever seen (44/15/15). Doesn't sway me towards him, but jeeeeeeze

No. You average a 30 point triple double, you're the MVP.
