Refs lost us this game when they kept calling weak offensive fouls on Brandon's drives to the basket, that totally killed all the momentum we had. _________________ My Dream Starting 5 next Season

Not really. Ingram didn't get jack. |
He led the freakin team in minutes played |
and barely touched the ball in the second half. |

No court discipline down the stretch. Not unexpected for a young team. Still got lots of work to do |

The skill level is there to compete with any team. Kids just need to mature a bit. |

That isn't correct either, he initiated most of the time he was in the second half. You can't do that without touching the ball. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Slow start to the game against a Portland team on 2nd night of a b2b. Poor 3Q per usual. |

The Heat doesn't have Winslow for the season anymore and Whiteside might not play. But I'm willing to bet that Tyler Johnson, James Johnson and Josh Richardson will have career nights tomorrow. Book it.
(bleep) this team. |

Oh that kind of freeze out. I don't know how many times he touched the ball but I do know one of the shots I saw from him was wild and early in the shot clock. There were multiple elements to our break down this evening.

Usual story. They get tested in the 2nd half and resort to hero-ball. Complain about the calls all you want, but chucking 7 three's and missing them ALL in the last 3-4 minutes of the game when DLo's midrange/postgame was working is what killed us. Not to mention the atrocious experiment that was Lou on Turner. |

Yeah, Luke needs to convince them to not abandon the offense when they get down. |

DLO was having his way against Lillard, don't know why they went away from that. Actually impressed with his defense against Lillard tonight. |

thats the thing we cant control though. but the stupid to's, stupid 3's, etc is the thing we can and we did a lot in crunch time. i hope next year we wont see these kind of problem too much like this year |

It's tough to down the 3 point shot or bust offense every single night. When the shot isn't going, it's like they have no other offensive strategy. I like Randle, but he goes left and defenses have figured that out. Even the Blazers rode Turner's mid-range / high post offense and played through him for a bit. I'd like to see the Lakers create from the low post more.
Blazers are arguably the worst defensive team in the league. I loved how Ingram got the first shot and some free throws, but then got frozen out for the next 47 minutes. Blazers have no interior and we want to continue taking low percentage shots? Let Ingram drive and get foul calls.
I bleed purple and gold, but man, this game might do it for me. |

those stats will be posted at some point....I think many fans would be surprised how many minutes Ingram actually has the ball each game...probably top 4 or 5 on season |

Kinda agree. Wish they had played with better effort in the second half. Letting Evan Turner go off sucked too. I like the stat-lines of our youth though.
DLO with 22/4/2
JC with 21/3
Jules with 17/9/5
BI 11/4 but looked aggressive and had an impact

Tough loss. But if I'm a Portland fan. I'm worried. Our youngsters didn't play well tonight and we almost won |
