I felt like Westbrook was a superior player to Curry even during last season, and this season has cemented that even further. I'd put Kyrie third and Paul fourth.

I considered Harden a Shooting Guard, though he is leading the league in assists.

I'll take Kyrie, even if he's a PG playing as a SG basically.

I feel Westbrook is trying to do everything in his power to get his team wins....he is trying valiantly to prove he can somehow make up the absence of Durant....

Yeah, he's changed his game up and has really balanced his shot attempts with facilitating.

Really? Kyrie is the best isolation player, but you would put him above Westbrook and Curry? Westbrook is more athletic, a much better defender, and a better passer. Curry is a far superior shooter and facilitator.

I feel like Kyrie is one of those players who can't win as the team's best player. Look at where he was without LeBron.

I have the Top 5 PG this season (thus far) in the following descending order ...

(1) Harden
(2) Westbrook
(3) Curry
(4t) Kyrie
(5t) CP3

Of note, CP3 is the only one of the five who consistently looks to distribute as his "day job", which I guess effectively makes him the only traditional PG in the group ...

I can't stand James hardens style of play but I have to give him the credit he deserves. He is carrying Houston like a great player does. I would probably take Chris Paul number two, age not withstanding.

Harden
Paul
Curry
Westbrook
Irving

Kyrie. Dude is clutch and perfect fit for a Lebron team. If I want a superstar to carry an average team, WB.

Funny how quickly people's heads turn. A few months ago a guy won his 2nd straight MVP unanimously (never been done before). A few months into the new season hes barely a part of the conversation.

That kinda happens when you have a player like Durant join the team and then takes a large chunk of the offensive production.

Yes, those things mainly being the inability to keep a thought in one's head for more than a week.

Definitely. A couple of guys have gone up a notch and he's had to sacrifice some of his game to accommodate another juggernaut player. Still though, very very short memories.

Westbrook is choking in the 4th quarter. I just read a recent stat that his 4th quarter shooting is below 40%.

Kyrie plays defense when he needs to. I see this a lot with franchise players/scorers. Sure, it's an on and off switch most of the game, but 4th quarter when necessary? It's just enough.

I don't care about Curry's superior shooting/facilitating. I know Irving is capable. I'm not blaming Kyrie because LeBron is on his team.

But think about it. LeBron James is on the Cavs. You know who the go to guy is? It's not LeBron. It's Kyrie. He was A KILLER during the last Finals when Curry didn't show up after his injury.

I'm not convinced that he has the same spring/confidence in his step prior to his injury in the Finals.

Durant's presence DRASTICALLY affected Klay Thompson's game early on. GSW adapted, made Klay an early offense guy. Curry has taken more of a back seat, but even during the last game against Memphis, couldn't take over in the 4th like he did in the 1st and 3rd quarters.

Suppose it doesn't have anything to do with a guy averaging a triple double since then, or a certain someone completely flopping in the finals.

We're all just goldfish.

Kyrie my favorite player to watch outside of the Lakers.
I just love his game. He has the best handles, the best touch around the rim has an arsenal of moves and is one of the deadliest closers in the game.

My rank:

1. Harden/Giannis (I don't consider them as PGs but they're too good right now at the "PG" position.)

2. Westbrook
3. Curry
4. CP3
5. Irving
6. Lillard

I think if you swap Kyrie with WB where he is the only star on the team he becomes just another high scoring guard on a bad team that we've seen plenty of times over the years.

I wouldn't say "he's barely a part of the conversation." In this poll, and all-star voting, it's basically a three-way tie between Curry, Westbrook and Harden.
