John (bleep) Stockton.
Jason Kidd.
Gary Payton.
Steve Nash.

John Stockton had Karl Malone. CP3 is better than all the other names you mentioned.

i cant see cp3 taking magic's spot on showtime. Magic on the clips would be no problem, however.

You're comparing Kyrie playing 2nd option to LeBron to Westbrook doing it all himself.

OKC took GS to 7 games. If KD didn't choke they would have won. How does essentially replacing KD with LeBron and playing a weaker GS team somehow equal GS winning? Did you see how LeBron played against GS vs how KD played?

No. I'm comparing a guy that once had to carry his team before and didn't go balls out and play out of his mind and still lose games.

OKC took GS to 7 games. Still lost.

GSW was the favorite against the Cavs down 3-1. Kyrie was HUGE winning that championship.

That's not overthinking. I'd even argue that LeBron was the #2 option, not Kyrie, because it was Kyrie doing the scoring, and LeBron doing the facilitating.

lebron led that series in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals. Lebron was doing the everything. I don't even like Lebron that much (don't dislike him either), but it was the most transcendent finals performances i've seen in a long time, maybe ever.

And he averaged way more pts in those last 3 games than Kyrie
I mean Kyrie was absolutely insane, no doubt, but he was not the best player in that series

...none of these guys are as good as CP3. Stockton is the only one who comes close

Anyone taking Westbrook over Harden should stop watching basketball

Best player in the series doesn't fit under my description of what the best PG in the league is.

Compared to Harden, I think he's the best finisher, best closer, and best perimeter shooter.

This isn't a numbers contest.

Wow, 5 posts in and already with the snarky attacks?

Consider this a warning. Stick to the discussion of basketball and ZERO about ANY poster.

You said he was the #1 option when Bron outscored him/scored as much as him in all three games after going down 3-1

Missing the argument here.

LeBron went to Kyrie to close games for him. That is #1 option, closer, late in games.

Back against the wall three games in a row against a 73 win team, 36 ppg with a ton of tough shots when the games were close, but not a #1 option, and not a closer. Okay.

Looks like I'm the only one who chose Chris Paul. I like his overall game, involving his teammates and ability to take over when necessary. He's a true PG with a fierce competitive nature. When he has to Paul is a great scorer who can finish at the rim.

Look at his career stats. Compare them to those on the OP list. LINK

Harden is listed as a SG.

CP3 is the best PG if Harden is an SG. He's clearly a better player than Steph or Westbrook to me... and Kyrie, even though I'm a huge fan of his.
