If it was up to me. I'd give him all of Mozgov's minutes. Before and after Nance comes back.
Not because I think Zu's currently a better player. But because it's better for our future... without hurting our present league-bottom defense much right now. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Ditto. Whether it hurts or helps the tank is open to debate. I kind of think it would hurt since our defense can't possibly get any worse. |

Right now, there isn't much evidence that Zubac would be a significant downgrade from Mozgov even in the short term. He could possibly be ready to start at center next year after a full offseason of practice and strength training. Might as well groom him for the starting center spot by throwing him 25 mpg. |

Given their historically poor defense this season, the only way now is up. Counting the current decade, no other team has played poorer defense. Giving Zubac minutes won't exactly make him a "defensive liability". It would be more accurate to say the whole team is a defensive liability. |

It looks like practicing against the other Laker bigs has paid off for Zubac. He looks much more confident than he did with minutes earlier in the season. Once he looks to box out he can be a top notch rebounder. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |
