Hesi pullup jimbo
Great work as always. I needed these videos 10 years ago so I could actually understand exactly the kind of precise footwork and technique went into my favorite player's domination of the league. |

GT, we need a full video analysis on Lonzo's one mid-range pull up shot against the Warriors last night. |

Great video. Never noticed just how low Kobe got on that rip through.
I remember seeing blind pig a lot in the 3 peat era, cool to see it again |

Hey GT, I think we're seeing enough evidence of Lonzo being an able/good defender. Any chance you'll be doing a video breakdown on his reads and proficiencies/deficiencies? He seems to make some reads and decisions on defense which are very advanced for a 1st year player, let alone a 20 year old now. Keep up the good work. |

Yeah, planning on having a video on Lonzo's defense out in January. |

Awesome. Thanks, I'll be very interested to watch your analysis. In another thread MikeLG brought up some very nuanced observations about Lonzo's D that if you're just a casual viewer you wouldn't notice. I'm sure you see the same things he does. Will be an interesting video to watch. |

Great stuff again GT.
Love the way you broke down Kuzma's footwork, Nance's rebounding and all of the help D stuff. The help D on the Spain pick and roll was awesome.
Bogut looks like he can barely move when he walks on the court, but he is such a smart help defender and such a good positional defender that he seems to make a real difference whenever he's on the court. I'd be very happy to see him start the rest of the year. |

Love the vid as always!
Still to me that we won starting with 3 rookies, 1 sophomore and 1 limping Center.
Now if we'd find a way to limit KCPs role without bothering his Agent too much |

Against Houston, and at Houston no less! Great defense, only 10 turnovers, solid 3 point shooting, and that young, inexperienced starting unit put a total beat down on a title contender. Wow what a game.
GT - thanks again for your always great analysis!! Every time I get down on Laker player development I get a reminder, particularly from videos like this one, of some of the things this Laker squad is doing right. Considering we have a bunch of rookies and a 20 year old second year guy, it's great to see how well coordinated the team defense on this Laker squad functioned against a very good opponent. |

Thanks GT! Love Zo's long chest passes! Lonzo's only real deficiency is shooting and with hard work that will improve. I'm glad he's getting the minutes and opportunities to fail as well as succeed. He will learn from that and find out what works. |

Great series, thank you for all the vids!
By the eye test, I've been impressed all season with how he's been running PnR without the threat of a jumper, but obviously the NBA playtype stats have him producing only 0.6 PPP out of PnR action. Do the Synergy stats with passing data included paint a rosier picture for him? How would you assess his PnR play versus your preseason expectations so far? |

This is about 10 days old, as I let my Synergy account expire because Cranjis has free access. I think he has to shoot that pull-up, frankly. He's done well at finding open guys, but I also think that's the situation where he overpasses the most. This also doesn't account for the "openness" of the shot. Brook Lopez has gotten a TON of wide open looks out of these and has missed an inordinate amount of them.
So I think these numbers are lower than they'd be with even average shooters next to him, but his deficiencies contribute to them as well.
