A win tonight would tie the Grizz and hopefully they can keep their skid going. A loss would drop LA out of the 8th spot

Yes, A win tonight and a Hornets loss to Minny will put us tied for the sixth seed.

Wow, really. I thought we would 8th or 7th the most. But 6th spot already. Damn that would be awesome. If we make it to the 6th spot, we will be playing Denver most likely (we already beat them twice this season ).

Kobe will find a way to win this one. It seems odd that one rumor has Eddie Jones returning to the Lakers to end his career.

I have yet to hear of that rumor, where did you hear this? And isn't it fummy how the Lakers are searching for Kobe's "Pippen", it seems like yesterday the y actually had him. Jones was a fantastic defender and a scorer. Im sorry Im still urked by that trade.

Yeah tonight is a must win, considering were fighting for the last playoff spot -

i went to the clipper game last night, (an invite) and noticed the grizzlies play pretty good perimeter defense, the clippers won by constantly attacking the paint and brand going off. I think the lakers need to really play off the ball tonight, lamar has to attack the basket and kwame has to be awake this game

Nah, I want the Clipps to keep winning. I'd rather see Elton take the MVP from Kobe instead of Nash, Chauncy, Dirk or Bron :p

Yeah and also if they keep winning, we might play them in the playoffs. And then we will kick their ass.

Not to sound all negative and stuff, but to quote DancingBarry, we're the NBA's official slump-busters.

Portland loses 6 games in a row. Who ends that streak? The L. A. Lakers! (01/11/2006)

Indiana also loses 6 straight contests. Who gives them the long-awaited win? Our boys in Purple & Gold! (02/01/2006)

Charlotte loses 13 in succession. Who frees them from their misery? Showtime! (02/03/2006)

Oh, what the heck? Chicago loses 40 of 41 games when the circus forces them out of town. Where do they go to get some laughs? Staples Center! (11/20/2006)

Now Memphis comes in, losers of 5 straight, any guesses what's gonna happen?

That's right. We're gonna kick their butts!!! Go Lakers!!!

(Interestingly enough we've won 6 straight home games and our last 2 losses have come against Memphis and Utah, the next 2 teams we play at Staples Center. It's payback time!! )

Absolutely, a win by L.A. and a loss by Memphis and NO will result in a 3-way tie for the 6th seed. You know this really puts in perspective all the dumb losses the Lakers have suffered through this season.. most recently, against the Bobcats and the Queens. Damn. Damn. Damn.

If we beat MEM and NOK loses to MIN we have a 3-way tie for the 6th seed! Who would have thought after the slide we had?!

Remember that if we can get that 6th seed we have a very good chance of at least 2nd round in the playoffs!!!

A very good chance because the their seed is going to be way overrated. However, getting the 5th seed would mean certain death, lol.

If the lakers got hot and in a position to get the 5th seen do you think they would lose on purpose to avoid meeting the 4th seed which with be either San Antonio or Dallas.

The sixth seed sounds very very good. Of course the #2 seed would be much better, but that is out of seems out of reach.

if we get the 6th we'll take weak-ass denver or minny, if we get 2nd we'll get something like Grizzlies or NOK, I'd prefer 2nd cuz of home court.

The second youngest team in the NBA may gel. Most of the team has been taking Triangle 101.

With a win tonight, the Lakers will be 5 games behind the Clips so barring an long win streak, the Lakers aren't catching them. But it's a good thing that they don't because they're not beating SA/DAL in a best of 7. The 6th spot is obviously the spot to be in if you're not #1 or #2. The Lakers have to make sure not to lose any more season series with the teams they're battling for a playoff berth(Minnesota already took the first 3 from LAL-Damn schedule lol).

Vs. MEM 1-2
Vs. NOK 0-1
Vs. UTA 1-2
Vs. GS 2-0
Vs. MIN 0-3
Vs. SAC 0-1
