This doesn't always happen. Depends.

I keep telling you AH, sometimes you date yourself.

Matter of interpretation. You interpret your way, I'll interpret mine. I own mine. We're not talking about diapers. But that's between AH and me.

EDIT; I know you were funning.

Usually woke up around 6:00-6:30 before this.

Geniuses and great people have a high correlation to being night owls, not early risers.

Put me in that camp for sure! (A night owl, that is. Very rare that I wake up before 11AM.)

Hmm, are you sure it's not a high correlation to being night owls AND early risers? All of the super driven people I know seem to go to bed late and still get up early.

Used to have issues waking up in the morning, but that all changed once I hit my 30s. Now I get up at approximately the same time every day, regardless of when I fell asleep. 630am-7am. No alarm clock needed anymore which is nice when you can get just get up naturally.

Always been a night owl and I hate waking up early if I don't have to. On days I go into work I wake up around 7:20. Days I work from home I wake up around 8:30 to 8:45. Weekends 9 to 10:30 depending on what time our daughter decides to wake up. During the two weeks my wife and I had off for Christmas we were waking up around noon. It was glorious. I always tell myself I should wake up early and do a workout but I can't do it. I end up working out around 11pm to midnight just works better for me.

Sounds like me, I've been wanting to workout in the early morning for a long time. Always end up working out sometime in the night from 7 - 9.

My sleeping pattern fluctuates as well, but I keep the same alarms all week, wake up at 7:30 weekdays.

What time do you go to sleep to be able to do that consistently and not feel tired?

Usually sometime between 9 and 11. Used to consistently do 11 or 12 (same wakeup time) but I can't do that any more.

That's weird. Guess you have the short sleeper gene or something.

Nowadays about 7:00, usually earlier when I work out in the mornings before work, but I tend to hate that in the winter because it's too cold and dark

In the summer, usually around 5:30 Mon-Thu, then Fri - Sun probably about 7:00 - 7:30.

I guess. Used to consistently live on 5-6 hours, but it's consistently trended longer over the last 10 years or so.

Game nights I need to caffeinate. I have it worked out -- coffee in the first half, then switch to 1/3 caf & 2/3 decaf, then stop. That gets me through the drive home after the game, but still lets me get to sleep once I get there.

Where do you watch the games from if not from home?

No, the studies I've seen show that the early riser is not the worm catcher. But I noticed that you used the term super driven. Driven is the symptomatic telltale.

This has been one of may favorite exchanges here in a long time - and that's saying a lot.

How would you work out in half an hour?

20 mins 2 miles treadmills run, quick shower (that's the plan in my head), progress from there. I'm a couch potato dad
