does it really count if it came before the SuperBowl....2 of them two decades before SB1.

Does history matter? I guess that is up to each individual.

I value it. The Browns won a bunch of NFL championships and it's not like that should just be forgotten, for example.

As an Eagles fan, I agree. Good thing our Lakers haven't experienced such droughts.

I'll respect Wentz as someone who can legitimately be mentioned in the same sentence as a Brady or Rodgers once he shows he can consistently play like this longer than a single hot stretch of games. We've been force fed Derek Carr, Cam, Dak, Mariota, Jameis, etc., etc. as the next great thing at QB over the last few years, but none of them seem to stick among the elite beyond a "breakout" season or two. Even with Luck and how great he looked like he was going to be in his first few years, who knows where he goes from here? RGIII and Kap are other names that were looking like the future of the position briefly before fizzling out of the NFL entirely. At this point, though Goff and Wentz are showing real potential and do like they might have some staying power with the structure around them (obviously the injury complicates things for Wentz), is Russell Wilson the only consistently elite QB to come out of the draft the last 8 or 9 years?

It's crazy, because with the way the league has leaned heavily towards passing the last decade and all the QB-friendly rules, you would think we'd be seeing more elite QBs, but it's still hard as hell to crack that group and then manage to stay in it for more than a year or two. And it's even crazier how the old guard still dominates the league - Manning (up until retirement), Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Big Ben, and you could even throw Ryan, Stafford, and Rivers in there as Tier 2 - while the new guys keep failing, these dudes come back year after year putting up 4,000+-yard seasons, 30+ TDs, and keeping their teams in the playoff and/or Super Bowl conversation. All drafted before 2010. I just don't see a group of QBs right now that's ready to take over for them as they move towards retirement age. It really was a golden age of quarterbacking, and combined with all of its other issues, does anyone else think the NFL is actually headed for a severe downturn in ratings and fan support?

Eagles are done. I just don't see them getting past the NFC championship without Wentz.

Another Monday, another day of waiting for potential suspensions.

The league office will explore on Monday the chaos that unfolded at the end of the Seahawks-Jaguars game. From defensive lineman Michael Bennett diving at the knees of Jaguars center Brandon Linder during victory formation to defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson being ejected for throwing a punch to defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson being ejected and then trying to climb into the stands after Jaguars fans threw things at him, the league will have plenty to sort out.

Suspensions, if any, will come Monday. Fines would happen later in the week, with the league disclosing them on Friday.

Jefferson’s behavior presents the toughest challenge for the league. Though he was provoked, he arguably should have kept walking through the tunnel and to the locker room. The possibility of Jefferson entering the crowd and creating mayhem presents a potential liability nightmare, with any and all injuries inflicted the responsibility of the league.

The NFL needs to create a clear, bright line regarding situations like this, with an expectation that players, coaches, etc. will ignore any and all misconduct from the stands — and that they will never under any circumstances try to physically interact with fans.

did you watch that game....only caught the last quarter, but the Seahawks came off as extremely low class.....Michael Bennett should definitely be suspended.

Carroll even got a penalty for running onto the field. This is where a player’s coach becomes difficult, instead of being a friend you have to show authority. It was a classless situation, after Bennett was ejected it should have dissipated but instead Seattle escalated things. Suspensions are warranted.

Did the Steagles ever win? (Learned that one on Cash Cab)

Sucks. I'll root for any team that could take down the Pats this year and Eagles were probably the favorite in the NFC. I enjoyed watching their games this season. Hopefully, Wentz can come back as the same player.

While Wentz can move around, his game isn't predicated on being able to run. He'll be fine.

lol, of course when I put money on the Patriots, they throw up a turd. But that's why I was fine putting money on the Cheatriots. If they win, I get money. If they lose, that means my team won.

Are you offended the Rockets = Dolphins?

I forgot Gronk was suspended maybe that's why the Pats don't look good that and Brady doesn't fare well in Miami

Yes. Very much. And also laughing at ESPN.

Gronk may be suspended but the Dolphins have 2 green corner's and a D that is very vulnerable to the kind of RB's the Cheatriots have.

It would be up to the defense if Cutler doesn't turn the ball over.

Neither ending is that surprising

Of course they are. That's what they do . . . unfortunately.

And Miami isn't the team that's going to hold the lead.

It's going to take a collection of big mistakes by the Patriots to lose this game.

Well he retired last season and only came back because of Gase.

Not sure he'd have done it for other teams.
