Yeah, parking is pretty absurd for both football teams. They were charging that much around the Coliseum last year. Probably better to take public transportation there and then take the Chargers shuttle.

(bleep) driving to the stadium. Just take public transportation. Cheaper and less headache.

Probably right. An Uber would be cheaper. But then again, I brought a DSLR and wasn't sure if would be sent back so had to park closer. They apparently have very lax security...

Up against the Raiders vs Jets on Sunday Ticket. Lynch show why he should have gotten the ball in the SB. 3 carries from 5 to take it in beast mode style.

Saw you on TV shortly after Cutler-to-Stills TD.

Dolphins got no pass-rush, no LBs, and a weak secondary. Yet, they won.

Despite the untimely pick I was fine with Brissett's performance.

Although it was obvious this team played not to lose.

Loads of embarrassments for the Chargers. A"home game" populated by at least 60% Dolphins fans like me, Spanos is roundly booed by everyone (a feat only accomplished by the Patriots on the big screen), last second FG missed again.

They'll still sell out. Only instead of 60/40 opposing teams fans it will be 90/10

Saw this:

Quote:
LA attendance:
Chargers - 25,381
Rams - 56,612
NFL combined - 81,993

USC v. Texas - 84,714

Quote:
Chargers on Sunday: 25,381
Qualcomm on Saturday (SDSU): 43,040

Quote:
FWIW, both NFL numbers are tickets distributed. So actual people in seats is lower than that.

Quote:
USC/Texas figure is also notable. 93k sellout was announced, 84k attended. New Coliseum capacity post-renovation set to be 77k

Interesting. I would take it here on LG but not sure I would put money on it.

The Dolphins game I got right Cutler tends to have the Chargers number.

I think the one game I didn't get right was the Cowboys/Broncos one.

I was talking to a Chargers fan waiting in line. I think he put it succinctly. It's not the losses, but the manner in which they lose.

Face it both NFL teams are going to play second fiddle to USC and UCLA football. Unlike the NFL, UCLA and USC football won't move out of town, plus they have generations of fans and alumni to rely on for attendance in addition to all the students that go to the schools. The NFL in LA is going to be a decades long project to win back fans.....and it doesn't help that a lot of people in LA are still Raider fans... in addition to those fans who became fans of other teams once they had no team to cheer for. As long as both the Chargers and Rams are awful, it will be a fight for scraps.....

I still do not really get it.....why did the Rams and Chargers want to go to LA so badly if the city is not going to support them? Is there any chance both of these teams are successful long term in LA?

I don't doubt it once the Raiders come in. I already saw a good number of Raiders fans in the stands.

I don't think either owner expected a) the lack of enthusiasm in LA for either team would be as bad as it is, or b) the attrition of their fan base would be as bad as it's been (especially in Spanos' case).

Someone flew a banner over stubhub during the game that called Dean spanos the worst owner in sports. Not a good look at your home opener in a new city at a soccer stadium.
