It was probably inevitable but I always hoped he'd stay away. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

Does this mean no more Draft coverage? His stuff (bleep) all over ESPN's coverage ( which i'm sure is the main reason ESPN went after him) _________________ *sighs*

Why would ESPN hire someone who hates on LeBron all the time? I thought their main purpose was to prop LeBron up? |

They'll probably end up making it Insider content that needs a subscription. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

You guys think Yahoo regrets not selling to MS for $45B in 2008? _________________ KOBE |

Yeah, this past year's draft coverage was very good and he was a big part of that. |

Thank goodness for MS stock holders. Yahoo has devolved significantly under Mayer. With horrendous new layouts, the loss of key figures in sports, a disaster with original video content, and it turning into an alt-right haven in the comments section, it's slowly dying off. Only thing saving it is the fantasy sports sections. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Interesting. I have absolutely no inside information on this, nor do I know if it's even true. I can imagine them wanting a new version of Grantland now that they've lost Simmons, and something like that seems more likely than joining dot-com or coming to Insider -- especially if he brings people with him.
The stories about the jihad are absolutely true, and I've been on the other end of it myself -- although he & I are cool now; he even came to speak at my event last summer:

not a fan of Mayer's plan but I dont think anyone could have flipped around Yahoo's downward slide. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |
