I'm not aware of Luke sitting him temporary.. and he looks healthy. I'm in support of giving Zu a chance, but not playing your high priced FA is not a good look in future negotiations with FA players.. no matter how he looks he needs to play and find a way to contribute to the team.

He should have started, it was obvious Drumm had his way with Zu and Black, at least there was a chance Moz would have given Andre Drummond some fits.

Actually I'm curious why we didn't start him. considering he's big enough to at least limit Drummond from having lay up drills and offensive rebounds.

Luke is trying to embaress him and instill some hunger to perform.

You want to stand around and watch? Do so from the Bench!

You want to score and defend? Ok get out there!

I'm not sure I can forgive Mitch or Luke (if he instigated this signing) for this signing, especially when we have a cluster of young big men. Ridiculous signing, probably the worst of the last 3 years.

Mitch has lost it. Please bring back Jerry.

How is this not a fire able signing from Mitch?

Let's just ignore the fact that we're on our to 4 straight lottery seasons...

but this Mozgov signing should be the nail in the coffin.

I read somewhere, not sure where that the reason for the struggles is bad fit, obviously the Lakers saw something when they signed him, maybe year 2 will be better when we are hopefully winning games at a higher rate.. sometimes you need to give players a chance if year 1 looks bleak.

I mean, he was benched during the Cavs championship run so it's hard for me to be optimistic about this long term.

The problem is that Zubac was not ready at the time to be a rotation player which was going to take two years to develop, and Black is too short. Either way we needed a veteran center the only mistake we made was giving him two years too many.

P.S Jerry is not going to save us especially with a CBA that is designed to be Laker proof.

You're giving credit to the wrong person or people. Mitch has a scouting team. Do people really honestly think Mitch was scouting Jordan Clarkson or Larry Nance Jr himself? He scouts the top players. He makes the final decision sure but he's getting advised heavily on who to pick.

Just consider him the highest paid assistant coach in the league and I guarantee you won't care as much (you will).

It's worth it if Mozgov is a great practice partner for Zubac and helps him develop quicker.

Whomever initiated and/or made sure these ridiculous deals were offered to Mozgov and Deng... should be immediately fired.

I believe, instead of thinking of the team, those making the decisions wanted to make sure THEY were not left empty handed for another year of free agency. That is NOT how you make decisions or put a team together.

The one constant in the Lakers decline has been Jim Buss and Mitch Kupchak. Mitch has proven himself in the past, Jim has proven ZERO. If anyone gets the benefit of the doubt during a purge... its Mitch who, at least, has proven competent in the past. Jim Buss has proven absolutely nothing.

Practice partners don't cost 16M per for 4 years.

Definitely. The lengths people will go to justify these contract abominations is beyond me.
