What if the Sixers offered Okafor and extended the protection to Top 7 for JC + Zubac?

JC for Okafor straight up is a decent trade.
Jury is out on both players. Removal of the pick protection is suicidal for us.

Also, if this was even remotely close to true, Mosgov and Black would need to be moved asap. Then the Lakers would need to sort out that logjam and lack of wing players. So Mosgov and Black would have to get us something like Crabbe or Corey Brewer. Not advocating any of that just saying that multiple moves would need to happen if Lakers got Okafor.

No it's not a decent trade. It worsens the balance of the Lakers, and flat out helps the 76ers. You know all of the small things that Larry Nance does that we wish Randle would do? Well, Okafor doesn't do those things either.

You may as well just lay out a red carpet for whatever side Randle and Okafor are defensively. PnR to death.

Nope. Lakers would lose more games AND THEN lose the better prospect in Zubac.

In the end I think twitter is a little bored tonight so I think that's why they mentioned the Lakers, we have 4 players right now who play the C spot it doesn't make sense so it's likely BS

If we trade JC it should be for a guard who plays defense not a big that plays zero defense.

If the Lakers could ninja Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot from the 76ers in this trade that would be something. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot has a high defensive upside AND is Zubac's former teammate.

He's traded. Just got to pray it was the pels or bulls that wasted assets to get him and not us. He makes no sense for us so I have to believe this rumor was just fake or leverage

What would Mitch send to Orlando to compensate for the increased possibility that the first round pick owed to them is downgraded to two second round picks?

YES it most definitely does. THAT would be a Mitch move, the chemistry with Zubac, it would make sense.

Jeez, you're leaping to conclusions on this (a rumor at this point). Ease back on the stick.

According to Elton Brand, Okafor is now traded from Philly

@TheRealEB42

It has been a pleasure working with you my man. Best of luck out there. @JahlilOkafor

Now we wait and see whether it's us.. or the Pelicans. If the Pelicans swooped in at the last moment and are willing to finally give them Jrue Holiday.. that may knock us out of the discussion. We'll have to wait and see at this point, but Okafor is definitely gone from Philly.

If it's us, I really REALLY hope Mitch ninjas Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot from the 76ers in this trade! He's a former Zubac teammate with a high defensive upside.

Chemistry has hardly ever been a concern for Mitch.

Those sh small letters on the backs of the jerseys would finally pay off.

Apparently it's a fake account

Pelicans sat Moore, Ajinca and Jones last night too. Weren't they rumored w the sixers last week or so?

I hope we don't get Oak. Nothing against the dude but I think Z is a better player especially in the long run

In that respect it's awful. Jc for Okafor is okay in my book contingent on a few other moves was my point. If you just make that trade it's terrible for the reasons you stated. Okafor is the worst defensive big I've watched and his rebounding is right there as well. He's just a low post scorer.

I don't get it. I don't mind trading JC for a big, but I'm thinking more of a stretch four or a 3 & D SF. Okafor is a young Al Jefferson.
