Congenital issue unknown?. Enlarged heart? All athletes should get their hearts checked out thoroughly. Everyone should, but athletes especially, though I think verb or Hunter once gave a pretty good thesis on why bigmen don't necessarily die more often than smalls from heart ailments, even though it seems that way. Were I a bigg'n in any sport (baseball big, basketball big, etc), I would get my sh checked once I got old enough to appreciate the timebomb nature of heart defects and/or got a scare to motivate my ass. I blacked out once like Gathers after taking no more than 3 steps out of bed after a nap and I had to go thru the full spate of exams to get the good news, but I'd be surprised if Fab even knew he had a problem.

I'm from (and still live) in the same city where he grew up and died.
So sad.
