Signing Sanders seems senseless. Surely, Sanders' skills stagnated since Sanders skipped several seasons. So, Sanders signing story suggests some spurious sources. Seriously.

if we sign him, it's just giving a guy a shot. won't really hurt an already bad team, maybe it helps?

but a lot of players use the Lakers in rumors to raise their value so don't look into it much.

the only thing you could take from this is that it means the lakers might be looking to move tarik which makes sense.

We are ranked 29th out of 30 teams on defense. Sanders would bring rim protection. Still, doesn't seem like the type of locker room guy Luke would want around, unless they're really that desperate to improve on D.

But a reason we stayed away from Isiah Thomas is his "attitude problems" lol

It would be more veteran leadership probably on the cheap this time.

That was a real thing. He was despised at both his college and first two pro teams.

Who's playing the part of Larry Sanders, now that Garry's passed away?

Impressive. I don't know about skipping seasons. Wasn't he in need of therapy or a detox?

Which player these days are straight? A lot of players get off the hook despite a lot of public negativity but they still play in this league. Sanders biggest problem right now is overcoming drug issues and staying focused those are fixable.

Nope...

He's a big time LA guy and has been coming to Laker games when he was away from Basketball, if he signs here it will be because he wants to be a Laker.

I can give you the link to his love for the Lakers if you want but that's 1 big reason.

Wouldn't you prefer to actually see how he performs on the court before you make a premature assessment?

After last night games (& the season as a whole), I wonder did it make Mitch & co give even more thought to Sanders

Larry Sanders obviously lives in LA and wants to play for the Lakers. I wonder if his meeting with the Lakers and Mitch was a promise he would be signed after the trade deadline when they get rid of or cut some players? No news coming out after that meeting is weird. You woulda thought a leak woulda came out from Sanders agent to drive up his price or something?

This is also why I think Nick Young resigns with us this summer. All be it for more money.

Would resigning him count against the cap?
