Im all in!!! The tank train has been fully set in motion now lets get this Top pick!

In all seriousness i think Brandon Ingram and this offense needs a point guard who can create open shots for others at a consistent rate and i feel Ball can do that better than Russell. Im not advocating trading Russell but i feel he'd be much better suited at the 2guard.

Now starting for your Los Angeles Lakers at Point Guard 6'6 from UCLA #2 LONZO BALLl!!! I can get used to this!!!

Well let's see where we will land 2 or 3 for us to get the Chino Hills product.

Yeah, but knowing the Lakers they will do it anyways. Fultz is heading to Boston most likely depending on what they do.

Good confidence at least. Wish Ingram had this kind of a backbone.

In all seriousness though, Ball is a very 50/50 pick, especially with his shot.

I agree with Breen being Fultz/Jackson/Tatum. Getting Fultz would be incredible.

I remember watching Steph and his amazing run in the NCAA tournament when he was at Davidson, its not even close.....
Ball is talented for sure, but I think his dad might just be biased.

I definitely wouldn't fall for ball. If teams were smart, ball would fall in the draft.

It's a 2 man draft imo between fultz and Jackson. Isaac would be my third option at this point. I wouldn't draft ball with a top 3 pick. I don't understand why laker fans like him so much, prolly due to local kid who goes to ucla

Well the Lakers and small group of you people want a PG, and unless we beg the Celtics to trade that pick to us in order to have a chance at Fultz. So now Ball is in our reach along with Jackson, and Isaac.

Lonzo Ball is better as a freshman than Steph was. I'm not saying he will end up better or that it's appropriate for his dad to say that BUT at the same age, Lonzo is a much better player. Don't forget steph spent 3 years in college.

I doubt that we have the chance to choose Fultz, but I would definitely take Josh Jackson over Ball. We need a defensive specialist and Josh Jackson provides that while also providing some nice athleticism and offensive upside. I don't know enough about Tatum but I would definitely take Jackson over Ball. I like Ball but that shot scares me, he's also never really played on a structured system. Chino Hills was just basically park ball, no resemblance of a system, and UCLA is basically a glorified AAU team as well as Alford doesn't teach defense.
He's a very 50/50 pick as another poster stated earlier. Josh Jackson if nothing else can become a Tony Allen type of defensive stopper for you.

I'd still take Ball top 2. I'd trade the pick or maybe go with Jackson at 3, though Monk may move up in tournament play if he goes off and continues to do so.

UCLA uses a modern NBA system

The dad was apparently on with Ireland this morning and said (to the best of my recollection): "I'm going to speak it into existence: Lonzo will be a Laker. First homegrown LA star".

If we were to draft Ball, could we duct tape his dad's mouth?

I was watching a ucla game last month and they were interviewing his dad in the stands. He told the interviewer that his son is going to lead ucla to a national title this year. lol

D'Angelo and Ball would have the potential to be the best back court in the NBA one day.

As would D'Angelo and Fultz.

Ball fits Los Angeles, and Fultz fits Boston.

There's the rivalry.
