Stevens and the Celtics' staff got the nod because of the league rule preventing a coach from having to accept All-Star responsibilities in consecutive seasons.
When did that rule go into effect? It must be optional because Kerr's coaching the West team.
Happy to see DJ, Hayward, and Giannis make the cut this year. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant
FYI - The West is favored by 6.5 points and the over/under is 339.5! _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

Predictions:
1. The game will start off with a lot of over-passing and turnovers.
2. The second half will be a chuck-fest between a few players trying to win MVP. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

I'll tune in during the 4th quarter. When it's not just people having a layup drill and dunking.
Maybe if the ratings drop significantly for the first 3 quarters the NBA will realize they need to stop charging money for the kind of stuff people see getting to games 30 minutes early before the actual game starts and actually put bonus's on the games so people play with incentive.
Team USA vs Team World game was nearly unwatchable. All-star game with the layup drills till the final 3 minutes of the game is unwatchable.
So I'll tune in to the all-star game some time in the 4th quarter when it's actually watchable.

Gregg Popovich coached the West in '16.
Thanks. I thought Kerr got out of it because of his bad back. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant
If Westbrook doesn't set the arena on fire then my guess for All Star MVP is Isaiah Thomas because it just feels like a game he'd make the most of _________________ Austin Reaves

First time in 21 years no laker has represented. Good job jim buss. If teams like San Antonio were able to keep themselves relevant why couldn't you?
on the other hand
we should probably be grateful that we even had a 21-year run of having lakers in the all star game. we've had it pretty damn good.
either d'angelo will make it in a year or few, or we're trade all the kids this summer for a couple glory years of paul george until he takes off for the Celtics after his contract's up. we'll be back for a while one way or another. _________________ Austin Reaves

Anthony Davis will represent the home team Pelicans. He could have a big night. It will be interestng to see how Westbrook and Durant get along. I hear there is some bad blood between them. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

So Westbrook is on both teams? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
