Then proceeds to compare players on today's team with...............Showtime.

Russell's gone fellas. He's talking up every young guy besides Russell.

And he said "Clarkson can be one of the best defenders in the league"

This is the most depressed I've been as a Lakers fan in my life.

Come on man he praised all the young guys on the team.

Yea besides Russell. Unless I lost focus when he talked about him

Magic just went up and down the roster sharing why he’s excited about Ingram, Russell, Randle, Clarkson, Zubac and Nance, Jr.

Maybe I missed it. Hopefully I missed it. But I don't trust Trudell, he loves DLO but he's a Lakers PR guy first and foremost.

Let's chill and see what happens though. Magic is hiring a GM, and we know for a fact we have Ryan West and Luke in personnel conversations right now.

I've stayed calm for years. I've supported the youth movement and preached pavement. I understand it was Mitch and Jims time to go. But I can't keep quiet when you fire your GM 2 days before the trade deadline. That makes no sense. And Magic(like all of the showtime guys) doesn't seem very fond of our best young prospect. It's time to hit the panic button.

It doesn't make sense and this trade deadline is likely dead.

i know it was just Magic providing lip services because of the names Randle and Clarkson were in that sentence

Mitch hasn't made a move in over 2 years, what makes you think he would've pulled the trigger on something in the next 2 days?

Idk he may not have. But it's more likely than it is without a GM at all

Just making a guess here, but I'd suspect they decided to fire Jim and Mitch before the trade deadline to prevent Jim/Mitch from making a really stupid trade in desperation to keep their jobs. Something stupid like trading 3 young guys and Lou Will for Melo (or equivalent)

he said the least about DLo by far....all he said is "D'Angelo...(silence) you can see him coming"....then went into a detail script on Ingram

The Lakers are the Nikon of the NBA. Was once one of the best and is now going to live in the past instead of trying to move forward. We all know where this is going.

The biggest knock on Mitch is his reluctance to make moves, not what you're claiming. Good guess, but highly unlikely.

Magic said all the right things for the most part. Favorite part was him saying he wants to see Zubac playing 25-30 minutes, which means he is thinking big picture. Hopefully we can move Lou for the best possible deal whatever it is

Hopefully he's talking about Lou and Clarkson (one on one).

And Moz and Deng (suck and suck).
