Credit to Brewer for that energetic showing, completely changed the game in the 2nd quarter with his energy on D and won us the game

If he's able to do that every game, then he's 6th man of the year material, but he isn't so we'll just have to appreciate to 5-10 games a season where he plays well enough to steal us the win. That's still 5-10 wins more than Deng can give us.

Mr. Do One Good Thing One Bad Thing.
Makes me nervous every time he does something good, since I then expect him to do something bad

Fortunately he had more positives than negatives yesterday. He pumped up the defense.

Brewer was awesome tonight. This was his best overall game as a Laker.

21 points 7-9 FG / 2-3 treys, 5 rebounds, 3 steals. His defense and hustle was on point!

First off I really like Brewer, of all the players that have come through the doors for a brief period during the rebuild I think he is probably my favorite. Good attitude, pretty much can always be relied on for a little hustle if nothing else.

However I had absolutely no idea he'd won a chip ('11 Mavs) and also no idea he'd dropped 50 in a game before. If you had me name all the 50pt scorers in recent history he'd be the name I'd never guess.

Kuzma and Brewer carried the team tonight. Brewer was so aggressive, wanting to stick it to his old team it seems. He hounded Harden, got out in transition, and even knocked down some jump shots. His best game as a Laker.

Funny how well some play when they have a point to prove. Lonzo said Corey told them he's gonna go off tonight.

Brewer played great. He's another one of our players who gives his all and is a part of why our defense is improved.

I hope we can keep Brewer after this season on a cheap deal. He is the guy that we thought Deng would be for this squad at a much more reasonable price.

Player of the game last night, tough defense on Harden with impressive offense.

He played well, but Harden got 50. Kuzma was the player of the game.

Harden didn’t get 50 on him but I get it, no one really cares about defense. It isn’t sexy. Player of the game.

Stop playing the martyr for defense. I preach a focus on defense as much as anybody. I also think Kuzmas defense leaves a lot to be desired like you but come on, he was the player of the game and it wasn’t close.

Veteran swingman Corey Brewer is in advanced negotiations toward securing a buyout from the Lakers to become a free agent, league sources say.

He's been an ultimate pro since he's been here. If true, I wish him the best. The guy always plays hard.
