Luke wants to keep Artest.

I'm cool with that. I think 1 of Huertas/Calderon may be moved/waived, likely Calderon being waived so he can join a playoff team. That'll open up at least 1 spot for us to look in the DLeague.

Calderon is a nice expiring contract, I'd rather combined with SwaggyP's expiring... about $11mil which means we can take back up to ?$13mil? (not sure) vs tankhaton

Not sure what you want do with adding that much salary back to the Lakers.

Take a flyer on DLeague guys. Give GP2 a shot. I'm sure there are others. Maybe keep MWP but I see no need for Huertas/trob at this point. Also, are we just cutting calderon?

I am in full agreement with this. Time to try out other players, D League guys, whatever....no need to have MWP especially on the roster at this point, it is embarrassing.

Yeah. Want to see some hungry DLeaguers fighting for their NBA careers. Nwanda, or Cook, or even GP2. Take a flyer on them. It's literally nothing to lose.

I think Huertas needs to go, never understood resigning him in the first place. He's a fringe NBA player with no upside. You're better off taking a chance on a D Leaguer or undrafted FA and hoping they develop into a contributor.

Yup. Going to be 34 and not back next year. Give me Cook or GP2 to take his place. Lakers likely waive Calderon to let him join a playoff team (we got 2 2nd rounders so no need to be greedy).

Keep T. Rob but Huertas is a dead end at this point. Look in the D league maybe we can give someone a chance.

So who are some un-signed DLeague top prospects?

I like Quin Cook and GP2. But I don't have much intel otherwise.
