Snide little boy should have known it was long overdue.

Many on the right are pointing to the Yiannopoulos controversies as a symptom of a trend toward conservatism as performance art, placing less value on ideas like small government and self-reliance than it does on attitude, personality and provocation.

People on the right are saying that? Or people on the left? I'd be surprised to see that level of introspection from those on the right.

Agreed. That word isn't even in their vocabulary, much less their behavior.

The right had plenty of time to denounce Milo. I guess he finally crossed a line they couldn't deal with: pedophillia. Or Ephebophilia if you want to be pedantic.

(bleep) all over immigrants, women and trans people? Totally fine."Free speech" right? Might even get you to the white house.

He crossed that line nearly two years ago but most conservatives didn't care because he was doing things that a majority of them had no problem with attacking gays, women, transgender people and ethnic minorities.

I remember watching that podcast live as well hearing about the Joe Rogan podcast the day that it happened the problem is most people didn't keep up with gamergate and the toxicity it created afterward.

Hope he dies in a flamethrower accident.

JK. You're so sensitive!

This is literally the excuse every time he's acting like a dick. So tired of seeing his fake ass on tv.

I appreciate Milo in the sense that he inspires people to show how much they're really committed (or not committed) to the idea of free speech.

I think most people are committed to the first one, 100%, and that losing the second one is an acceptable trade-off.

And? I have shown no signs of confusing the two.

I've been living under a rock because I'm confused about this guy.
Finally saws clip of him and I'm genuinely asking the following.

He's anti gay? I thought he was gay when I saw him for the first time on a clip with Bill Maher

I'm really confused

As far as what I've heard from him, he's anti gay marriage because he doesn't want the gay community to adopt straight lifestyles, or something to that effect. Don't quote me, but if I've characterized it correctly, that's obviously dumb.

Mainly referring to how people try to repel him from speaking at college campuses, and I've seen people bring up the whole banning hate speech rhetoric around him too.

OK, I got you. Personally, I'd fight for the right of nazis to speak their minds every bit as hard as I'd fight them on implementing any of their ideas. I also think universities should bring in speakers who challenge and yes, even shock students with their ideas and thoughts. That's a very important part of learning to think and communicate.

That said, I wouldn't bring in a guy like milo simply because he's been quite transparent about the fact that more than any ideas, the idea of being a troll and inciter and a celebrity for that is what motivates him. Just as I wouldn't invite kellyanne onto news show because I know I would get no legit substance, I wouldn't invite a guy who isn't there to make an argument but rather looking to pick a fight.
