Its almost like Magic looked at the team and said "why do we suck" and found out that the Lakers were almost last in defensive efficiency. So he looked at the roster and said "yea, we don't need these 2 old guys who are going to retire in a year" and traded for Cory Brewer and Ennis - who are both defensive specialists. Than he smiled and said "this is so easy".

Except Ryan was the one who got Ennis and was the one working the phones while Magic was taking credit for talking to GMs.

Luke Walton on Ennis: "We definitely want to get him out there and give him some opportunities and some chances."
confirmed: Ennis will play crunch time minutes in the 4th quarter. DLo will sit and learn by watching...

Anyway, the Brewer deal was Magic's.
Getting Ennis for Huertas was Ryan West's move.
According to you.
no, not according to me. It was reported that Ryan West and Glen Cararo did the Ennis deal while Magic was traveling with the team.
Wanting to give credit to anyone but Magic for any good thing that happens, doesn't mean that Ryan West and Glen Cararo didn't do the Ennis deal when that is widely known. Was even stated here.
So no, not "according to me". But according to fact.

Which reports that specifically say that those deals where done that way --- Magic got Brewer and West got Ennis?
@SerenaWinters
Tyler Ennis said Luke Walton called him right when he got traded to welcome him to the Lakers. Says a lot about who Luke is as a person.

Ireland reported it on 710 this week in an interview, I was listening on my lunch break _________________ Austin Reaves

Come on guys. I'm no fan of the takeover, but we don't need alternative facts. Carrarro and West have done some working of the phones along with Magic, and it is not like you're out of communication on a plane in 2017. _________________ “We must always take sides. Yeah, I can see this happening. Not because it's true -- Brewer and Ennis are terrible. But you've pinned Magic's arrogance pretty accurately. Well done.

He also reported that LA is looking at past Lakers to hire and specically mentioned Byron. Does it make it true? Again... It only works depending on the agenda here.
I thought the ball moved a lot better on offense with Ennis in there. The team would be so much better with a legit playmaking pg. I think Luke should give Ennis the ballhandling duties with the bench squad so JC doesn't have to dribble so much.

Hold on. Magic was on the plane with the team and didn't sign off on this deal, but the coach of the team called Ennis right after he got traded?

Can someone confirm this is true?

The reason I don’t anticipate that he will be on the team next year is because next summer he is an unrestricted free agent and the Lakers can only offer him $2.6 million because the Rockets declined his fourth-year team option before the season started. He is sure to get paid more than that. If he doesn’t the Lakers will most likely want his salary off the books to make other moves anyway.
