I see Ball playing more like 34mpg. 28 mpg is too low for him. Let the guy play.

No one averaged over 29 last season, I expect Ball to be about there at the end of the season.

They also didn't have a player like Ball on last year's roster. He will make everybody else better. You gotta let him play.

Our pace is going to be ridiculous. Luke would be wise to have a deeper rotation/less minutes to save legs for the fourth quarter and close teams that we've run into the ground (vs. us running ourselves into the ground).

Exactly, Ennis is also young and would need playing time to develop and up his value as well. Great signing

If the Lakers can they'll run a 8-9 man rotation.

The pace they want to play, keeping the guys minutes in the high 20s would probably be the smartest decision, especially considering the pace we're running. So our starting lineup not playing over 30-31 MPG this season is probably the best way to go.

Our defense is going to impact pace a lot. Stops are going to become transition opportunities almost every time. You can get quasi transition off a make but it's not as common or effective. I also think teams are going to drop back against us routinely, giving up offensive rebounding opportunities.

We probably aren't going to be among the better defensive teams, but the right scheme could make us more effective. Basically what Houston did.

I love his interview skills.
Once he goes full Harden beard, he'll be unstoppable.

Good interview, seems smart. I like that he's young and knows his role and he played very decently for us near the end of last year. Basically a no risk move for us and he will play 10-12 min a game with the occasional start. At this point we just need humble hard working guys who will fit into Luke's system, he seems like one.

He likes to slow it down offensively...hopefully we can teach him to throw it ahead. Zo showed just how easy it is to break a defense down by doing so.

A solid backup, decent shooter, minimum contract for 2 years with team option. Couldn't be better.

Considering we'll sign Bryant anytime, I'd leave the last spot in the roster to be filled by training camp. There's time for some opportunistic sign (like Calderón, last year) and give the guys some motivation to fight for a spot.

Love this signing. I'm hoping we keep the room exc in our backpocket going in to the season. It might prove very useful. I'm happy with this roster we currently have.

This is a good signing for the team and Ennis.
Ty should get, at minimum, 10-12 minutes a game (or more, maybe). He is a nice change of pace pg and should compliment Zo quite well.
He has already shown that he knows how to run Luke's system.

Update on Ennis contract:

Quote:
Contrary to what was previously reported, the second year of Tyler Ennis‘ two-year deal with the Lakers will not feature a team option for 2018/19.
Instead, Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders tweets, it will come with a non-guaranteed second season.

What's the difference between a team option for 2018-2019 and a non-guaranteed second seasons?

Edit: it looks like Pincus answered it in another tweet: "Because Ennis is a two-year non-guaranteed 2nd, not a 1+1 (TO), he cannot block a trade this season . . ."

Yup. He was the most solid pg today. Just plays within himself, and has picked up the pass ahead quickly thing from Zo
