Nice game last night by E-Man. Very consistent, plays within himself. Good leadership skills. |

Ennis should be starting? LG logic?
Seriously, good fill in option. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

I thought Ennis played solid late last season, and was a very underrated backup PG. Yesterday's game proves a couple things IMO:
1) Ennis is very good backup PG who can keep the offense moving if Lonzo has to sit,
2) Lonzo is going to sit for significant stretches this year, for breathers because he's still a skinny rookie, and for instruction because he still is capable of skinny rookie mistakes, or sprained ankles if he keeps driving into the defense and trying to pass mid-air, so
3) Ennis is going to be a factor in how many wins the Lakers get this season, more so than a lot of people realize.
Not meant to be a knock on Lonzo, he is extremely skilled and smart, but I wouldn't be surprised if he only gets about 30 minutes per game on average this season, and I think Ennis is going to get most of that remaining playing time. |

Playing Lonzo 3o minutes a game and having Ennis sounds like a great formula this year. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

What's the difference between a team option for 2018-2019 and a non-guaranteed second seasons?
Edit: it looks like Pincus answered it in another tweet: "Because Ennis is a two-year non-guaranteed 2nd, not a 1+1 (TO), he cannot block a trade this season . . ." |
It also means you don't have to make a decision on him by the end of June. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

Love Tyler Ennis.
Solid player. Nothing flashy. Just a very, very steady point guard who isn't going to make a ton of mistakes.
Dude had 8 assists in 11 minutes lol. |

No doubt that Lonzo has been teaching Ennis some of the value in passing which is why he ended up with 8 assists. |

I am in on Ennis....I actually think he could be one of the more quality backup PG's in the league. |

Ennis has played well, but the question is whether he's playing well on a bad team or whether he's playing well just because he's playing well. Its hard to tell. On a bad team, a steady professional looks like a player when, on a good team, they are a 14th or 15th man.
If we can win 35-40 games this year AND Ennis play well as part of it, that will surely help his career momentum (and the momentum of every other player on this team too). _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

When we first got Ennis, I thought he was trash, but he proved me wrong. I loved his synergy with Zu last night (his wrap around pass, drawing two defenders was sweet). As long as he shows the same play making chops as he did last night and sustains his outside shooting from last season, he's going to have a role in the NBA |

Ennis looked like a vet out there- and with how young this team is, he is a vet in comparison.
I think he has the back up PG roster slot locked up! And, I like the beard! _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

Several people already said it. The word for Ennis is "solid". He knows his limitations and doesn't take bad shots. |

Was shocked to see he racked up 8 assists in 12 minutes, the same as Lonzo in tripld the time. Ball who? Haha jk
Just realized we get to tell opposing teams they will feel the wrath of my ennis and ball |

Huh??
Ennis already has NBA experience and was a decent PG last year. I'm sure he knew the value in passing long before he met Zo.. |

Everyone laughed at me when I started this thread saying I had a good feeling about Ennis last season. Seems I was right.

Is it just me or is Ennis already better in every way than Farmar ever was? |

He is playing with some maturity. I hope he can develop in Patty Mills type of player. It would be amazing. |

He looks good out there. We were worried during the summer that we wouldn't have an adequate back-up for Ball, but Ennis has been a great floor general for our 2nd unit. |

He's played very well so far this preseason, continuing what he started to close the season. I'm glad they brought him back. |

Funny you should mention this because Ennis reminds me of Farmar in terms of his size and build. They aren't similar players of course, but when I watch Ennis, I have to remind myself that I'm not watching an under control Farmar who knows how to run a team. |
