Theres no point in predicting minutes since we're going to find out in a couple hours (I'm actually pretty excited about this game), but this is what I would like to see the minutes spread out

DLO (33)
Young (26)
Ingram (30)
Randle (30)
Black (20)

Zubac (24)
Nance (28)
Deng (18)
Clarkson (28)
Ennis (12)

I'm pretty lit and I don't think these numbers add up at all but basically I would like to see DLO lead the team in minutes and shots, Ingram, Randle, Nance, Clarkson all get a good amount of minutes to really give them an opportunity to grow together and for Magic to see which ones are the most valuable going forward.

Then Black/Young should get a decent amount of minutes to because of what they bring. I know Black is pretty young but I don't see him a huge part of our core going forward, although he's my favorite player to watch because of his hustle and attitude on the court. Deng/Brewer/Ennis/Moz should get selective minutes to fill out our rotation, not completely burn out our young guys and help the tank.

Clarkson's minutes don't really need to go up in my opinion, 28 is fine for him but now that he's not running with Luke we should hold him more accountable to play like we would need him to when it's the young core running the show.

Hopefully this second half of the season is alot less frustrating. I'm just going to take an optimistic approach to Magic/Pelinka running the show so as long as our young core is getting plenty of minutes and clearly in charge of winning and losing, then it should be alot more exciting to watch this team.

If he gets 26 minutes again, someone needs to put me on suicide watch

There is absolutely no reason (other then his health and knees) for him to not be getting over 30 minutes on a daily basis regardless of how the game is going. NONE.

Starting Zubac instead of Black might make more sense Zubac is the bigger of the two and Black plays well alongside Nance Jr which we've seen before in the second-unit. Black hasn't gone anything wrong I just think starting Zubac with Black back in the second-unit might be better for the both of them.

Randle should not be starting.
Nance is s much better player than he is.

Regardless of how anyone feels about this debate, you have to admit that benching Randle tanks his value as an asset.

As long he gets roughly the same minutes (he gets too many IMO), I don't see why it would have an effect.

It is obvious they are developing Randle, Nance is what he will be. Randle has much more upside.

And yet he's gotten worse every month. Maybe it's time to try something new.

I guess the concept of developing a player is foreign to you. That isn't how it works.

Mozgov/TRob/Brewer/Ennis/Calderon out of rotation. As someone else said buyout TRob and/or Calderon and take a look at some guys in the DLeague with potential.

It is good for me

The last 7 mins of the Spurs game, Luke put in Ennis at PG and DLo at SG and Ingram at SF. He should continue testing this out especially DLo at the SG spot.

So far I'm not a big fan of DLo as the offense setter because he's too slow bring up the ball and it takes him a while to organize his teammates. Really shows you how is is NOT a natural PG. Ennis in the small sample is able to push the ball up better allowing the offense to start poking at the defense right away. Keep DLo off the ball, have him run through screens for catch and shoot 3s ala Ray Allen or JJ Reddick. I think that's what will help DLo get going. I say stop trying to convert him into a PG that will set up the offense.

Well Luke said he wants to push the tempo more. With Lonzo hopefully in Ennis' place next season I think you're onto something.

Russell's slow pace is easily my biggest complaint of him at PG. Lonzo fixes that immediately.

The Lakers have unleashed a newfound passing attack following the Lou Williams trade

The results have been mixed, but Los Angeles is swinging the ball around more than ever since the All-Star break.

Quote:
Lakers head coach Luke Walton agrees that the team will need to make changes by committee to fill the void left in their familiar bench unit by the Williams trade.

"The playbook definitely changes. We still want to play the same style, same tempo, them being an energy group and kind of picking it up for us, but they're going to have to do it much more as a collective group now,” said Walton

“[Jordan Clarkson] has to be much more of a playmaker,” Walton continued. “Larry [Nance, Jr. ] and Zu [Ivica Zubac] have to be more aggressive at making things happen, because a lot of it before was coming out of a double-team and then playmaking. That's not always out there now, and it's good for them to get that chance and opportunity."
