This seems like a good time to discuss it, the season is trending towards the finish lines and we have gotten rid of Lou and our 2 back up PGs, but who else might be on there way out...?

Thomas Robinson
MWP
Nick Young
Corey Brewer

There might be some other guys who might not be back next year, but all and all we are gonna have a totally different roster next year, good or bad.

Well Corey Brewer is under contract for next year so I'll keep him to make sure that contracts ends in 2018.

Metta - to be assistant
TRob - D league
Nick- just as far as possible from Lakers
Brewer - depends of FA, but most likely he is gone( stretched or whatever)
Ennis - not coming back also I am sure, he is trash

Maybe someone else I do not know, hope for this above to happen...

Don't stretch Brewer because we need to clear cap for 2018. So he needs to be completely off the books.

I doubt it, there gonna need the cap space to sign there Top FA and if we resign Young we lose cap space so he is likely a goner.

We are eventually gonna get someone good, and we need the cap space to get that good FA.

Young has been here 3-4 years and we haven't been in the playoffs in that time frame, that means it's time to try something else.

Some good like Deng/Mozgov. If you look at FA crop with 2 exceptions I prefer Young for one year rental even with big money.

Robinson and Metta are both gone.

I like brewer since he's expiring. He's an older version of the type of player we need. Moves well without the ball, plays defense. Guys that move well without the ball create space for Russell, Randle, etc. we need those types of players

With nick, I could see us giving him $10M next year with a team option for year 2. He gets used as a trade chip or I'd George wants to come here, we don't pick up nicks option and move on.

Young could be back because he's under contract. He has a player option for next year. To come back, all he has to do is not opt out.

Dubious. He's gonna want a last decent contract.

Young could get a big one year deal if we punt the cap space forward.

Considering the Lakers have been trying to trade him for a second the past few years with no takers. Luke should just park him on the bench and make him feel unwanted to push him to opt out.

I don't think anyone is 100% safe, but I'd say:

Unless traded:
Ingram
Russell
Randle
Clarkson
Zubac
Nance Jr.

Obvious reasons:
Mozgov
Deng

Will be back.

You never know what the draft will bring or what star may be on the block. Nobody besides Ingram deserves to be 100% back next year. No one has made a huge leap forward for Magic and the brass to say "no they are untouchable".

But I hope Ingram, Russell, and Nance are back. The rest can be packaged with the pick for a star or added to a DENG/Moz contract as a salary dump

The two that I feel should not be comfortable and Randle and Clarkson they are so frustrating to watch. And supposedly they got calls on Clarkson. It would be interesting to see what they could've gotten for him because he is at best a rotation player on an average team

For the right price everyone is expendable in my book.

I think some of the young guys will be moved, Magic is gonna try building a more competitive team this summer, I could see some of the youth getting packaged in a trade.

Will be back

Russell
JC
Ingram
Randle
Nance Jr
Zubac

Deng & Mozgov unfortunately because of the contracts they are on.

Who maybe will return
Young
Black
Brewer (if he doesn't get traded or waived)

Players who I don't think will return
Metta
Robinson
Ennis
Calderon

Plus the Lakers will have two draft picks for this year's draft and I doubt they will draft and stash anyone.

Russell
Clarkson
Randle
Ingram
Nance, Jr.
Zubac

And Mozgov and Deng, unfortunately.

Trading youth for youth works but trading youth for older vets will be a recipe for disaster.

With how Young has been playing lately, I expect him to opt in.

I would rather him get it than a FA from another team. The players know him, they know what he can do, he knows what Luke is looking for. It would make so much more sense than an unknown player.

This is my hope as well. This team could due with some roster continuity after the last 4 years of constant turnover. This is how you build team chemistry.
