If I remember two 10 day contracts are the max.

Great tnx for info...I hope he will perform good enough to get that second

It's going to be tough for him if he can't shoot.
I just hope that he can improve our defense a little bit.

See what he does in practice in his first 10 days.

To be honest, was hoping we'd give GPII the call up.

'Mr. Dunk'... we do need one of these!
Now who else should we call up for MWP (he can be special coach or something)

That's if Metta feels like he's done playing.

Defensively this kid will put pressure on anyone who isn't bring their defensive effort.

He lacks in shooting but he's a slasher through and through and a very good rebounder for his size, due to his leaping ability and wingspan.

If he's a poor mans Tony Allen for now. Sold. Allen couldn't shoot(still can't) cut well, ran the baseline for layups and played hard nosed Defense. Parlayed that into a good career. We need some of that.

How old is he? People can learn to shoot, athletic ability cannot.

Our D sucks and Magic has brought in Ennis, Brewer and now Nwaba. All above average defenders. I like the emphasis on D.

None will probably make a big impact because they are unfortunatley not 2 way players, but at least he will have some options to stop the bleeding.

David Nwaba NBA D-League Highlights w/ Los Angeles D-Fenders:

Dat defense on Felder. Seems like he takes it personally.

We need more players who take D personally. Let's hope he can stick.

Sounds like he does have a jumpshot, he just does not like to take them. Would rather move the ball, sounds like Larry Nance in that regard.

I would not mind at all having a guard version of Larry on the squad. Lets hope he does well!

The blocks

We don't really have a player like that. Hope he succeeds.

You know you suck when signing a D League player to a 10-day contract is big news.

And he is probably your best defensive player.

Hoping the final 20 games we see a rotation of:

STARTERS =
Russell
Clarkson
Ingram
Randle
Zubac

SECOND TEAM =
Ennis
Young / Brewer
Nwaba
Nance
Black

If Young keeps taking shots like these, Luke's gotta phase him out of the rotation. I'd go full Byron and bench him the rest of the season.

I hope he sticks with the Lakers. He's the kind of the player who enhances any team. He's probably best served by having a very specific, defined role on a contending team. But since he's already in the Lakers system, hopefully he'll make the team and grow with the rest of the young guys.
