I've always maintained that DLo looked like a starting quality pg. The more I watch the more I see a guy that will end up being an elite guard.

Superstar? Probably not, but I'm now seeing the all-star potential with continued development.

Some of you may not like hearing this but I think we might be too critical of our youngs, with the exception of Clarkson. I don't think collectively we are qualified to assess young talent. How often have we had to watch our own prospects develop?? This accounts for many of us being so impatient, we simply aren't accustomed to watching home grown talent develop.

I believe they need at least three seasons before we can give accurate assessments.
Excellent post. you are 100% correct in your assessment of many laker fans old and young. We did some what watch Anthony peeler/ nick the quick, eddie jones, and elden campbell grow up.

But.... those guys all went to college for more years than most of the kids on our current team. these guys are KIDS. can't even drink yet kids.

thats how young a lot of them are. so it will take longer. longer than most of us want to admit.

Russell was great tonight. How about this stat line from the Lakers young players in general:

Russell: 28 points (10-20 fg, 6-9 3p), 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals
Clarkson: 19 points (7-18 fg), 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals
Ingram: 14 points (5-11 fg), 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks
Zubac: 14 points (7-13 fg), 3 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal
Randle: 13 points (5-11 fg, 2-3 3p), 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block
Nance: 13 points (6-10 fg, 1-2 3p), 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal
Black: 9 points (3-3 fg), 6 rebounds, 1 steal in just 14 minutes.

The future is bright.

Tarik Black was a real one. His defense is missed.

I had some faith that Luke could get us playing better with time and chemistry, but I think it's time to cut our losses.
