That's because he hasn't been an exec for a full year yet. Magic's been running the show this year and Rob's been an executive for about 2 months. |
Rob has been a GM since 2017. His title hasn't changed. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

Welcome and sorry Rob Palinka. Explain his bizarre behavior in which he told us a complete lie Which I will call the Kobe Batman Lie. I personally am a straight shooter and don’t like getting bs by people I don’t care if their famous or not.
I will admit I have been tough on him for certain moves and patterns that seemed amateur or not experienced example trading Zubac for nothing, or fracturing our relationships with our players via Lopez, Randle and the trade rumors with the kids. Having a complete separate war room last year is very troubling and tells to many biblical verses. Last one is tong and cheek.
How much was that Magic vs Rob I probably do feel better with Palinka. Lebron and Rich had a very heavy hand in this Anthony Davis trade. I also would of felt much better with Griffin negotiating and working for the Lakers instead. But after all that said and if they can sign some good free agents, with how screwed up our process was we might be completing for a championship!!!! People you can’t make this (bleep) up. I guess it truly is the Lakers way. So Rob sign some good people and listen to your scouts!!!!!and Pete!!! Please!! I’m willing to give him a fair shake and just move on until he proves otherwise. |
Thanks for the welcome
I really can't image more perfect GM for the Lakers than Rob Pelinka, he looks and acts like Hollywood agent, that story about Kobe and Heath Ledger was hilarious...i remember that Kobe had Joker colorway on his sneakers back in the day, so there was some kind of connection there, but either way Lakers are Hollywood's team and Hollywood is LA's mecca of "white lies", that's why i said that Rob is right man for this job...
Who cares about Zubac or Randle or any other average or below average NBA player that's not on our roster anymore, we have the best player on the planet (Lebron) and the best big guy in the league (AD), plus we kept our only young player who actually showed something (Kuz), now we only need to add one of these five players (Kyrie, Kawhi, Jimmy, Kemba or D'Angelo) and everything that happened since our last championship will be quickly forgotten... |

Has no business in the front office. The trade with the wrong date wasn’t even needed to know this. |

Is it uncouth to ask unless they can get the max cap space first? Or is the proper thing to just ask? I don't know how the GM world works. |
Neither does Rob |

Right now Pelinka gets an A for the offseason.
If he uses the cap space to sign bad players to multiyear contracts. His grade drops down to a B+.
If he uses the cap space to sign Kawhi, Jimmy, or Kyrie. A+. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Rob needs to be fired. Trading away the GOAT Bonga just so we can maybe sign Beverly or Dlo. |

I'd like to apologize to Rob. I certainly was one of the folks who jumped the gun and assumed he'd messed up our cap space after the AD trade. Even if he did, he made sure he landed back on his feet. Super stoked to have that max cap room going into FA. Way to go Rob |

Is Rob gonna become the GM equivalent of Kobe and close this (bleep) out after shooting blanks for a while? If he does finish what he and Magic started in 2017, the narrative will quickly change to "Magic was holding Rob back"...and maybe it's true after all. |

All the haters and people who think you need to be “buddies” with the rest of the league to be a GM can eat their giant plate of crow! By extension, Jeanie also needs some credit!
